Will since some of us have seen the trailer I was thinking of us compiling a list of features that will be in TR: AE.

that trailer was the canceled game...=P XD
We know nothing about the TR:AE except CD is making it, and it's going to be on Pc, Psp, Ps2.
Unfortunately, that trailer now won't be happening.
Assuming it is a TR1 remake, I do wonder how they'll deal with the jumping element of gameplay.
A lot of what made TR1 exciting were the jumps. Those long, just-reaching-by-your-fingertips moments across boiling lava, crocodile-infested water, or perilous neck-breaking drops. Precision jumping to land on small squares with very small margins for error.
If they use the Legend get-up will they be substituting this drama for swinging with the grapple...?
Or pole swinging! YeaH! :yah:
I seriously hope they give us use of her great big jumps again.. They're part of her trademark :(
Hehehe. ;)
I wouldn't mind them using the gymnastic poles if they added them sparingly and sensibly. Like Lara genuinely chancing her arm on a sticking out bit of the scenery, to see if she can reach that out-of-the-way bit. Rather than providing an almost "yellow-brick road framework" of poles to take Lara on her theme park ride way...
I know Lara has NEVER moved like a normal person but... there's something about swinging acrobatically across a cliff face littered with poles that's particularly....unrealistic.
oh i hope they bring back the huge jumps, where you have to allign yourself and then fall for 5 seconds and then barely making it

Well I have seen the the trailer and hopefully they would still include that "dual aim" thingie where you can shoot 2 enemies at once. That would be a great feature for the game. If there would be a grapple in the game, it would be nice if it would have uses other than what we saw in Legend.
If the AE is a Tomb Raider remake, I think they will be using the classic Lara as we have seen in the flashback level in Legend, with those abilities. I would not be expecting lots of surprises and novelty, as they will be certainly using Legend's engine. I would not imagine the game to be a realistic remake either, probably much shorter.
Actually, I do not think it will be a remake. :)

I'm in a doubtfull mood.Sadly.
I'm thinking it will be 'Dumbed down' But, BUT, to a certain degree ;) TR1 wasnt too hard, but Im sure its about to get easier. (AE)

Lol, everyone is doubting CD will do a good job. Just because Core's AE trailer looked good, doesn't mean its better than Crystal's game. I think Crystal have a great chance of making AE a great game.
At this point I just really want to to know what exactly kind of game it will be. Will it be a remake of TR1? Or will it be an entirely new game unrelated to TR1, but simply a continuation of the Legend story for a cheap cash-in? They don't have long to make it. That much we do know.
By the way, it would be really nice if they include the old TR1 as a bonus for buying it, kind of like how Doom 3 special edition came with Doom and Doom 2.
Maybe in the AE they expand upon Lara's Mansion and all those doors that wouldn't open in TRL, and an exterior etc...
Surely the puzzles won't be the same as TR1 even if it is a 'near remake' - otherwise we'd all be able to breeze through the levels with our eyes closed.
And yes - longer, higher jumps, since that is what Lara did in the early days of TR.
Peru featured in the original TR1 and TRL, so maybe there is some kind of connection there - although if AE is a one-off, it's completely separate like AOD.

Legend didn't impress me much. If CD continues with that over simplified approach, the next TR games aren't going to be highly anticipated by me. :hea: IF this is their example of how good they will make TR games then I have good reason to doubt they will improve.
they better use the old mansion!
they will be remaking levels but you do realise that they will proberbly be more expanded and re done a bit and a bit more updated otherwise the graphics would be great but the gameplay would suck
