In my opinion, CD failed to deliver us Lara Croft in Legend. But they did punch on the right notes in Tokyo level where she's intimidating Takamoto.
Here are some lines that really doesn't suit her in Legend.It's like she's an alien inhabitating Ms Croft and raises a lot of eye brows to many of us fans:
1. Look at her. She's beautiful
Even though the artifact/ruin is magnificent, she had never.ever exaggerated this much and calling it "her" as though it's alive. Imagine TR3 Lara going on how beautiful the artifacts she has found.
2. I'm falling in love all over again
What the...?? She has some kind of relationship with Kurtis Trent in Aod(yet she never spoke of it, but body language speaks louder than words) and is still acceptable as a human-human relationship. Then again, in Legend she's falling in love everytime she saw a ruin. Who the hell does that sound like?Britney Spears?Anna Nicole Smith?
3. Oh, look! It's Rutland!
Again, an irrelevant comment from Ms. Croft. She never get too cheesy and cheeky. Urgh.Yuck. That's supposed to be Baby Spice or someone else.
4. My God!....Amanda!!
During that scene, Lara Croft seems to be having a faint heart and not at all the daring and fearless adventuress we all know and love.
CD, In your developer's diary, you mention who is Lara Croft. I think that question will still haunt you because you still don't know the correct answer to that. The soul searching work still needs to be done.
