Those are actually screenshots from a small program that I only wrote for that purpose. Since this program is buggy and the documentation for the Tomb Raider file formats is incomplete, lighting is all wrong.
I only used Photoshop to put the images together, put in the text and remove Pierre's guns (that's why the window textures behind him are too bright and distorted, if you look closely).
For the future, I'll try to stay away from Winston. He is fun and I have a few ideas that I want to try that involve him, but he has about twice as many joints as Lara and is just a huge pain to pose correctly. You might notice that all Winstons in the images so far have exactly the same position, except for the arms. I hope you don't notice that some of the background-Winstons don't have their arms at all moved, or only so that the tea tray is in the right position. I would have gone crazy otherwise, especially since I don't have copying implemented in my app (yet).

I'll need to work on a few bugs in my program, they are just too annoying, so it might take a while.
I know I said I would try to keep away from Winston, but he is just too funny.

I tried with a black frame around the pages this time, so that pictures that go out of the page don't look as bad as they did with the previous comics. I don't like the result, though, I got to think of something better.
Natla'd: That program I wrote can only pose Tomb Raider animated objects (from Tomb Raider 1-4, 5 is not working correctly yet) in Tomb Raider levels. It's buggy as hell and really not much fun to use. Besides, it only works on Macs.

You mean the one on stage? That's Pierre from Tomb Raider 1, he's also in Chronicles (though his coat is not as brown there). And Puna is actually fixed to his throne, so I had no other choice but placing him with it.

anyhow, I only know of the 3D models one can download from Catlanteans site, but they are only the Atlanteans.....maybe Cat can get some more...
If anyone is still interested in the answer to the questions: No, I don't know any such program for Windows. If I did, I would have used that instead of writing my own. On the other hand, I never even googled™ for it, so maybe there is one. You could always try to extract the meshes by hand and then assemble them in any general 3D editing program - I would certainly not bother going through so much trouble.

For the time being, that's it. Not with comics, but with that storyline. I'm just way too lazy to pose all that many characters over and over again from scratch, as I would need to if I let them swim with their boats through most Tomb Raider levels that contain water (as I planned to). I'm gonna try and see if I have good ideas for some smaller ones.
On an unrelated note, if you are interested and have a Mac that runs Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, contact me and I'll send you the program. You'll also need a second program to actually find out what object ID is what object, but I've got one that can do that as well. No, the program has not significantly improved, I just figured that if someone is crazy enough to try, why not give him/her a chance?
Last remark: Did you ever notice that there are no regular women baddies in Tomb Raider? In order not to be politically incorrect, I've officially declared the dog in the second panel to be female.
