Could someone please explain to me what the final fantasy games are all about?
Ive seen some vids on youtube and they seem kinda sad/funny/romnatic, i just don't get what the whole game is about....

They are beautifully rendered and told stories, full of tragedy, romance, humour, bizarre enemies...you can't really define them in simple words. In order to understand Final Fantasy, you have to play them. I'm playing FFX-2 right now :D

every final fantay game is an independent story.. only ffx had a sequel..
final fantasy games are.. well role playing games. And it evolves around a story.. ffx2 was kinda bad in that since it was mission based.. The stories have many meanings.. some have many sides.. likes this new final fantasy game that is in work.. ffXIII has three differend games.. three stories..

Might I ad that square enix id one of the best story tellers in game indrustry.. and they hardly ever let their games out witout finishing them *cough*eidos*cough*

Final Fantasy games are rpgs that have very good story lines. Every game is different. The only thing that stayed in every game was that they had a Cid, Biggs and Wedge in about eevery one. There can be sad, funny, wierd, and all other kinds of things at parts.

there were some npc's in ffx too that reminded of other characters from ff games..

hmm.. I cant really think of lots of stuff since I've only played ffx, x2, and viii

also tifa looked like the black haired woman from ffviii ad tidus and cloud looked alike

edit: ffx is great! I love it you should really try it.. and if you really wanna know what happens after then play ffx2

*Sigh* I wish I could play FF9 again afresh for the first time. It's my favourite one I think, well, tied with 7. It's just such a Fantasy game!

i agree. my dad told me that he thought that 9 wasn't exactly good as the others when it came to characters.

My favourite is no 8 and 9. FFX is good but I really hate playing Tidus in his yellow outfit. Poor fashion taste I'd say. But Yuna is absolutely an angel:)

Thanks for the reply, I think mum will let me buy one, which one should i start with? Or which is the /best/ one out of 7 8 9 or 10

Rivendell
01-08-06, 17:56
I'd say start with 7, and work your way through them :tmb:
7 will introduce you to the feel of the games and start off your understanding of developing your characters powers.

Rivendell

Another reason for starting with 7 is that you can appreciate the games as the graphics get better over the years. The fmv's in 7 are still absolutely ace even today :D
