View Full Version : ~ How Lara might have looked in TR:AE Core version.~
I'd been trawling the early pages of the TR:legend section looking for scraps of some sort of news on AOD2 my search for that information was fruitless but one thing that was very interesting was this thread:

It's said in the thread I've linked to above that this was a fan made venture but considering how this information would be relative to our current focus on this forum I thought it would be useful to share so at least my search wasn't in vain after all. ;)

I don´t mean to be rude towards the person who created this...but it´s disgusting! Really, I want to puke...Still, I appreciate the artistic importance of the picture...but Lara is beautiful and that thing...well, isn´t.
I actually like the first picture but there was something differant in the other pictures as far as the models were concerned. I think it would have been likely that Core would used their AOD model perhaps with a few touch ups like reducing the amount of eyeliner lol

I guess I´m the only one who thinks she is disgusting:p Be careful, I´m not comparing her with Legend Lara, I´m comparing her with AoD and Classic Lara. I´d rather see the old Classic Lara, with a big smile than this almost AoD character who can´t smile no matter what...
Another interesting comment to note:
that is actually the modal for the japanese game of the remake of tr1 it was posted here like last year or the year before
Does anyone else know of this Japanese remake?

Wonderful job to whoever created it. I definately could never make something that would look remotely like that. If I may, though, would anyone hate me for giving constructive criticism?
In my own picky opinion, I think her breasts are very wide. I think the abdominal muscles look like confused rolls of fat.

That's not eyeliner, are her lashes without transmap and I am sure it's a non official model, it's created by someone that has nothing to do with Core, CD or Eidos.
Stop criticizing it just because it's not that good looking as the Legend Lara... I think it's quite a nice model :D Looks a lot like the AoD model and in my opinion, AoD model is quite a good one and has more class than Legend's...

Ahhh....legend lara rules!
I think this revision has more in common with TR1 lara than legend lara has, I see more similarity in the face, and almost the Grrrrrr mouth when she used to shoot.

I think that model looks fine, definitely alright for a fan-made updated version of the TR1 model. She does look a lot like the AOD Lara, which is fine by me. :)

Meh too much like AOD Lara.
I like the classic lara more then AOD or Legend Lara. The version in the bad trailer that leaked out looked the most like classic lara.
If that really is fan art, its pretty good.
As fan art goes, that's nice...as the model for a game, not diggin' it at all. I'd assume there'd be much more rendering before it was finished, but just not into it..the face is a curio.

I disagree, both Core and Cd have made nice looking Lara's. Core's looked like Lara, CD's looked like someone else although more realistic.

Yeah, I saw your comment about it in the thread I linked to although I couldn't find anywhere else that mentioned this japanese remake. Do you know if there was any more info released about this japanese remake?

Actually I don't like what I see. Lara is much more realistic now, the Lara that you've shown is like 5000 polygon less...:tea:

This is just like fan art or some Japanese version judgeing by the posts I've read. This one isn't going to happen, or has already happen.
Unless you mean to say, I wonder who voiced her in Japanese....
