Cyborg Von Croy - Red Alert

Just shorted out Cyborg Von Croy, but the water is still flowing, how do I stop it to safely get down and get the key ?

b/w a previous post mentioned using the grappling gun, but I don't have any ammo for that. Am I screwed ?

dont panic you are never screwed! there is ammo close by...but if the water is electrocuting you then you do have to have that room empty. this is gonna sound a bit vague but im sure i left that room and when i went back the water was running down a drain. you have to make the jumps on the slopping blocks against the far wall. up there is the ammo and a place to shoot so you can use the rope to make the jump to the very high hole.
sorry its a bit vague...maybe our beloved admin can be a bit more precise...

by the time i got there i was getting a bit worried about the extreme lack of medi packs i seemed to have...let alone ammo! she seemed to last longer if you crawled in the gas rooms. you have to go right to the end of the bit with the choppers shooting you first, flick the switch behind the counters get the second von croy to follow you and trap him in the room by flicking the switch back under the floor. the gas kills him and you have the second part of the key. you are a gnats chuffty away from the end of the game...got to go to work now...might catch up tonite?

thanks jon.jon, but that gnat might yet chew of Lara's behind as I enter the gas chamber with ONE remaining health pack and only 30! shots left on my mul-tee (fifth element) weapon....here goes....

jon.jon: I'm rummaging around in the gas chambers, and have followed the route along to two switches. One seems to be right at the end, and the other next to a window. There's two guards in there with me..do these two need to be wiped out (low ammo see) and where is the second Von Croy that I'm supposed to gas ?

how long did you leave the room and also i have full health no mediapacks and i keep trying to kill van croy but i can't kill him any tips where to hide where i can shoot and what mode should i be on where do i shoot him and i need help

oh yah and i can't get up the slides she won't go up far enoughshe hits the top of the slide and then slides down i can't do it

IF you have a saved game just before entering the long hallway where the helicopter wants to nail you, I suggest you try to make the run from behind the bar to the switch under the grate without stopping anyplace. I know this requires jumping at exactly the right places along the way (e.g. Make the very first pit jump real early so you have time to jump the second pit while still running), but without stopping along the way I was not only able to beat ugly back to the gas chamber, and get him to follow the whole way, AND I was able to do so without getting shot by either him or the helicopter once. (They keep shooting behind me.)

Once under the grate facing the switch, watch above you for Von Croy to cross, the press the switch to trap him. (Your post(s) above sound like you might not have him locked in the gas chamber?)

You'll find that crawling does help re: health, and that the first switch was required to unlock the doors to the second one by the window. Flipping the second gases Von Croy, and stops the gas in your room. (Don't forget to flip it again so YOU can recover the key part!)

You don't have to kill the guards if you're low on bullets, but be aware, it's the last ammo you'll need in the game.

Arrrgh, OK I shorted the forst android out but now I am having trouble with the jumping on the angled vents right after. I can get to the top vent but when she climbs it and jumps backward she just lands on the second vent and slides down, I've tried flipping to face the other direction but that does'nt work... Any suggestions on the move I need to make?

You need to pull up and jump backwards straight away, then again straight away, the again, but spin round. Keep jumping and aim towards the black platform on the left. Its VERY hard. Good luck.

I've heard (but not verified myself) that after killing the cyborg Von Croy from on top of the block, you can jump directly to the grate where the grappling ammo is.

What I was told is you jump just to the right of the tunnel you came in on, and using the left directional arrow, curve to the left in midair. Apparently it matters that you don't grab until the last possible moment.

Love to hear if anyone can verify or debunk this theory.
