Me and my big brother are trying to complete Final Fantasy IX, again!. (We get stuck on Trance Kuja last time!)
And I thought this would be a good place to discuss Final Fantasy IX (9)
Who is your favourite character in the game?

I love & own all the Final Fantasy games!:D FFIX is great, one of my favourites!;) Vivi is also a fav FF character of mine.

Who has defeated Ozma?
I have never managed to defeat him before.
The ending to Final Fantasy IX was for some reason my favorite, probably my favorite FF out of all of them. I'm one of the few people who liked FF7 but dont think it was all that they made it out to be.

I've played 6, 7, 8, 10 and 10-2, but not this one. I''m planning to maybe buy a PS2, so should I buy this too? Is it worth it?

Im also a massive ff lover:D and i have 6,7,8,10 and 10-2 but not 9 my freind has 9 though and iv completed it twice its funny because alot of people say how bad 9 is and boring but i love it:( as for ozma iv never defeated him but i defeated tantarian...out of pure luck:p

You may replace quina with Dagger, but Quina is way more appropiate.
FF9 and FF7 are my favourites :D
FFIX is pure fantasy, I love it - appropriate for the title, it's been Final SCI FI since :( Still great fun, but not exactly fantasy!
Hopefully XII will be more fantasy again, though the whole Sky Pirate thing seems to point the other way, and XIII seems to be all futuristic again...

I defeated Tantarian the other day.
He's prettey easy, because my part memebers had really high levels fro that stage of the game.

They were all level 56-61
Zidane attacks, Vivi casts Flare, Steiner attacks with Flare Sword, ClimmHazard or Shock, and our dear Quina casts Mighty Guard. If Ozma happens to cast Mini or some other status effect, Quina may cast Angel´s Snack and everyone will be fine. Ozma has around 60,000 hp.
I had Zidane´s Ultimate Weapon and Steiner´s Raganarok. The others didn´t have their most powerful weapons...otherwise, vivi would have had doomsday...and well, Quina needs 99 forgs to be caught, but I wasn´t patient enough before defeating Ozma:p

I thought you couldn;t attack Ozma with phsyical attacks?

Yes, you can, you need to do the Friendly Animals Sidequest. Did you happen to meet a brown squirrel, a white funny ghost, a green ladybug, and many other sweet fiends? There is a nice funny music too when they find them. They ask you for many items: you give them the item they seek and they´ll tell you who you should see and they´ll give you the prize. The last one, a yan form Vile Island (the most dangerous place in Gaia, right to the left of the Lifa Tree in the map) gives you the ability to attack Ozma qith physical attacks.:)
