I'm not sure if I'll ever have friends that mean as much to me as Tombraider games do. I'm about to be 19. My bf means as much to me as the games do though.
Welcome to the forum whisperingdevil. You're amongst equally obsessed Tomb Raider friends here. :wve:
Does your boyfriend like them? I find my girlfriend likes to watch me play them.
What are you playing them on then? PS/PC/Saturn?

My bf watches me play them for short periods of time. He said he played them a long time ago and we played Tombraider 7 together. I play them on my playstation and I have tombraider unfinished business 1 and 2 for my pc.
So you'd rather stay in and play Tomb Raider than go down the pub/club/whatever with your mates and have a laugh?
Lame, dude. Lame.

True, but y'know, theres a LIMIT! =P
A limit on playing TR ? Not for me :D
Does the limit include dancing the TR Shimmy Shuffle whilst wearing brown shorts and a turquoise top bought especially for that Lara Look with a long braid made out of wool in your hair and pretending to shoot stuffed teddy lions whilst singing 'We are the Champions' at the top of your voice?
... uuuhhh, not that I ever did that at a fancy dress party or anything...
:D Hehe, oh noo I bet you didn't :p

Crikey, Elysia, and I thought I was a pretty die-hard Lara fan :p :D
The whole thing kind of went like this:
* Play TR non-stop at Halloween.
* Imbibe huge amounts of alcohol whilst doing so.
* Decide in drunken state that 'I've got big tits! I could be Lara!'
* Have evil friends who like to egg you along when tipsy.
* Stagger down town with said friends and buy suitable top, shorts, toy guns, a ball of brown wool and 5m (I over estimated...) of PVC from a fabric shop (to make gun holsters). Get frowned at by lots of shop owners.
* Stop off in Wetherspoons to top up blood alcohol level before you remember that, whilst Lara is well endowed in the chestal area, she most definitely DOES NOT have your big arse...
* Super glue hands together trying to make gun holsters (turned out, I DID need the whole 5 meters...)
* Dress up and shorts and teeny turquoise tank top.
* Get friends to staple (yes, staple...) you into your gun holsters.
* Get not-quite-as-inebriated-as-you mate to braid wool into hair to make long plait.
* Go to Halloween party, drink even more wine, pretend to shoot stuffed teddy lions, get toy guns nicked by friend who has decided (for some unknown reason...) they are a member of the Viet-Cong, run up against walls and make little orgasmic grunts to the delight of male partygoers, dance badly to Queen.
* Wake up next morning, not remembering a great deal. Suffer huge hangover.
:D It was a kick-arse costume, though!!

:vlol: :vlol: :vlol: That's absolutely bloody quality. I only hope someone took a photographic record for posterity :D

Oh, I forgot 'make white hairband out of a pair of old knickers'
...it made sense at the time...
Luckily, this escapade was way back in the day before digital cameras were widespread, so although there are photos (and held to ransom by my mates Andy and Paul...), they are of the old, paper kind.
Thank the Lord and all his little wizards for small mercies...

Yea, I'd rather stay in and play Tomb Raider than go out with my friends. Maybe I just need new friends, but I dunno I still think I'd enjoy playing Tomb Raider a little more than hanging out with them. I used to have hair as long as Lara Croft when I was younger and I would wear it in a braid every day, this was in like 6th grade, I started playing Tomb Raider that year.

I find that is quite romantic really. It doesn't matter where the time and place is. It's as long as you're both happy and having a good time together that matters.:) :D

Yea, it did feel romantic. It's a great memory.
Sounds like that was one hell of a party Elysia! :jmp:
Wow, Elysia! That's much more exciting that my Nevada-Lara outfit, which everybody just chided me for. ¬_¬ I didn't get to dance badly to Queen either...:D
The stakes have been upped. I need another TR tattoo. And to order that deed poll...I'm adding Lara as a middle name. My mother told me the other day that she should have called me Lara. ;)

@ Elysia :vlol: :vlol:
(Sounds as bad as when I went as Carrie - post prom - and had some random Cleopatra molest me for for the rest of the evening, only to come round in the morning with Karo syrup spread all over the house!! :pi: )
This is the forum for the Tr obsessed?
Sssh don't tell anyone :whi:

My bf thinks I'm nuts when playing the game ...and when he sees me on the forum he tells me to see a doctor, and invite all of u along.
but but.....
he doesnt UNDERSTAND THE SICKNESS IS NOT WITHIN MY BLOOD....
I cant belive I am saying this...but I would rather stay home and play than go out to a club and get drunk with my friends. Anyone agree with me??
My reasons for doing so:
1. I do not need money to play TR
2. I do not need a ride to get to TR
3. The food is more accessible when playing TR, rather than being outside (restaurants close early..)
4. I AM exercising (my fingers)
5. There is no need to get intoxicated while playing TR to be able to have "more fun"
6. While playing TR, there are no risks of accidental:
- cheating on ur bf/gf with some other person, only cheating on the game - HAHA
- no penalties for cheating
- escortment from the TR game if you go over the limit
7. I do not need to beg my friends to drive me home, when its late at night and my mother is stalking me on the cell phone. Lara is not so strict.
8. I can stay up ALL NIGHT playing TR....without breaking any curfues
9. Lara would never affer me drugs, she likes me sober =)
10. I do not get a hang over from playing the next day.
haha thats all........
TR is da best:jmp:

Tomb Raider is a wide and deep world, that responds to whatever you bring to it. Hey, sounds like a good relationship.
