All raise your hand if you think that there is no enemy more tedious and down right annoying than Pierre DuPont?
We first see him at St. Francis' Folly, and then all through the game he pesters us by popping out un-invited and shooting us, and not leaving until he dissapears out of our view! And the annoying thing is that we don't even get to kill him until Chronicles!!!
The stupid frenchman won't even drown for us! In the cistern, he popped out (un-invited again) in one of the rooms, and after a while he went for the door so I assumed he had left. I jumped into the pool and made my way to the lever to flood the cistern. When I returned to the room where Pierre was, he was still there shooting me from underwater! This made it very difficult for me to kill him so I died :hea: :cen:

He was ever so tedious, but it made it all the more enjoyable gunning him down in Tihocan's tomb :mis:

I was so pleased when I finally put him down for good at the end of Tomb of Tihocan. And he was even kind enough to leave behind the Magnums, too :D
I loved fighting him! I thought it was funny to make him squirm and chase him for as long as possible shooting him as he ran off :D
You could just imagine him going
"La Merde! Stopp'it ma chere! Ouch!"

I like monsieur Pierre. When I saw a small clip of him in Core remake, I was dead excited.
But it was still good to bring him down in Tihocan's tomb. :D

Yes. But that could be before TR1...
so he doesn't die in the pit?

Who's to say she DOESN'T recognise them? Her behaviour towards them both in TR1 is ambiguous in this respect.
how bout at the begginning where she has a conversation with Larson and he puts the laptop in front of her? besides. Larson dies also in chronicles remember? The 3 headed serpant.
any way the ebst way to get rid of that french pest,... is to hunt him down,.. if u keep running from him he will chace u,.. but if go all the way around he will dissapear sooner,... 4 me it worked,.. and i loved him since them,.. after u showed him who the boss was,.. it was nothing else but another entertainment,....

I liked Pierre. He startled me a bit in the cistern though. Totally didnt expect him there. So ..I'm going to keep my hand down on this one.

I thought it was great that he could appear at any time - it up the the thrill level a little bit and kept me wary of the surroundings Lara was in. It did get annoying sometimes when no matter how much he's shot he just won't run away, like when I was playing earlier on...>.<
I like Pierre. A very good bad character! :tmb: Especially in contrast to Larson. :)

Bah, I thought that Pierre was really annoying. Back in the days, when I first played TR1, I usually died alot just because of him shooting at me. Didn't go very well when you're already sorrounded by lions and gorillas *grumble*
I did like Larson though. He was so stupid, it was almost heartwarming.

Comparing both of them, I prefer Pierrre because he's harder to kill :mis:
And I still don't believe that they survived in tr1 and lived to visit Lara in the opera house in Chronicles. They got the time wrong and the story too. But I still like the Rome level though

I can remember "I still got a pain in ma brain from ya!" and "ain't nuttin personal..."
I think they were toward the end of the game.
The Skateboarder says something like:
"Are you shooting at me? There is nobody else here, so you must be shooting at me!"
well on the PS version, when u put the disk in a cd playa you can here what they say, as well as most of the other audio sounds (apart from the gun shot sound and the sounds of the animals/environment items etc.)
The Skateboarder says something like:

Now the skateboarder was the one that I found to be insipid. People complain about the dialog in TRL but TR1 has its own "oscar winners".
BTW how the heck did a skate board park get into Natla's mines?
I loved that little dude he was 'yeh dude i'm gonna kill you now' blah...he should have done some tricks!!!!!!
But the three men in Natla's mines are certainly not as legendary as Pierre and Larson despite how annoying the frenchman and his stupid friend are.
