My sister went out and got me a DVD (A Clockwork Orange, as part of the Iconic Films Collection) today with my money. I haven't seen this excellent film for about 18 months, so I'm looking forward to watching it.

I've been very badly craving it. My sister won't be home until tonight, so I'll have to watch it then. Anybody else got it?

It's about a young criminal who is arrested, brainwashed and released from prison non-violent.

Couldn't have been too long ago, it was banned until the year 2000.

It was probably in the the year 2000 when I saw the picture then.

Why?
The director banned it when he received death threats. He said it could never be made available again until he died.

But why did he receive death threats?
And who were they from?

Not sure who it was from. I think he received threats because whoever threatened him found it too violent.

I watched it last night, and it's still as great as I remembered. The DVD was good too. Not jam-packed with extras, but the picture quality is brilliant (rich colours, very few artefacts or grain)
