Well after touching upon this in an other thread, I figured we may aswell get it over and done with. ;) You may include Pinball machines I suppose, but no air-hockey etc etc.

Let the nostalgia trip begin....
In no particular order, heres mine.

Screenshots only - I'll list them later if you can't guess!! ;)

All of theses games hold a special place in my heart, whether it's the place where I played them, or the memories I have of of wasting so many 10p's in them. Alot of them I could complete on 1 credit at the time - but only after lots of practise!!! One in particular was always guaranteed to break out into arguements about 'who stole who's food' ;)

I dont have a top ten. I dont tend to like arcade games. Plus most of the ones ppl like were way before my time.

1. Time Crisis
2. Tekken 2 ( simply because my first time playing it was on holiday where I beat this 17 year old who thought I was going to be easy because I was a kid. It felt so good bringing him down a peg. He was supposed to be an expert and I beat him my first time playing it)

Like I said I dont play arcade games much so this is all I can think of.

:D :D :D Awww, I remember when those were the height of gaming perfection! Excellent...

Does anyone remember Hell's Bells? A cute little arcader you could get on the Commadore 64... that and original Bubble Bobble (before Nintendo got hold of it)? And, of course, the MIGHTY Newzealand Story. Hardest game I've ever tried to beat.. to this day, I still don't know how it finishes due to the lack of a save option!

What was the one with the motorbike? You could hit people with chains, I seem to remember...

That was Road Rash lol, I used to love that one! Most of my fave arcade games are a bit more recent than all you guys' choices (you must all be getting on a bit :whi: :D) but I'm giving it some thought and I'll post some up later :D

C64 for the win!!! haha.

Never did beat NZ story either - way to hard.
Me and my brother got to the last stage of Bubble Bobble, and then he screwed up - and we lost to that big dude - alas we never made it there again. Huge arguements ensued!!!;)

Road rash Rocked!!! That was on genesis/mega drive though. At first I though you meant Kickstart by Codemasters, quality games.

I don't remember Hells Bells without screenies, but I loved Dizzy and Jet set Willy 2. (Again - not the faintest how to finish that one) And that mole guy was cool too.

@ At Lone Radier - you got one right so far !! ;)

@ Ace - nice choices - loved those side-scrollers :tmb:

I always loved this one, and remember when it first came to our local arcade. What a development it was! Great. :tmb: But my, what a cunning money gobbler it was, and used to cause such arguments when another player was low on life and someone else ate any food around. :D

I always hated this one. I mean, really detested it.http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/icons/icon13.gif

It might be called Spartan where you came from, but I always knew it as Kung Fu Master - very tricky and extremely challenging when not played by a true master!!! ;)
