View Full Version : Patches and DxTRE 3D
I know about all the amazing patches for the TR4 engine and I thought it would be a great idea if we could all like make this topic about the patches that can be used with DxTRE 3D (Unoffical Level Editor) or maybe some of the engines (like TR5, TR3 ect.).
Is anyone clued in on patches we could use?
I don't think that we need any patches for wonderful dxtre3d editor, cause if you need to increase some limit or else, you can simply ask Turbo for updated revision without doing it in low-level ;) .
You can successfully use any existing patches with dxtre3d. Moreover, TREP contains some exclusive options that right now can be used only in combination with dxtre3d - like more than 8 flyby sequences.
As for patches for other engines: there is plan for universal patcher without linking to any specific exe file. In other words, it will be not like TREP (i. e. NO specific config for TR4 engine only), but it will be flexible patching engine with dynamic parameter and patch pattern assignation. It will be based on TREP's DRACO module. Still, there is need for re-doing majority of options for other engines (maybe the simpliest thing is TR5 engine, cause its internal structure almost completely similar to TR4 engine). Anyway, it is the plan for not so near future.

Well I guess my question now is how to use the patch with DxTRE 3D. I'd like add some more statics slots.
