I got this game like a 2 months ago and I was really freaked when that giant T-rex showed up in the lost valley....did anyone else get freaked?:confused:

Oooh yes :D I remember that day 10 years ago when I broke into a sweat and cried Jesus Christ!! and got told off as I was only 8 at the time and wasn't supposed to swear :o

I was expecting it, since the level was called Lost Valley and you encountered raptors as you entered the main valley. I was more suprised at his place within the level, you'd think a big enemy like that would be like an 'end of level boss'.

Edit: The T-Rex appearence in TR2 is more suprising.

Fully agree., i was completly taken by surprise when i see the T-Rex in TR2. in TR1 was almoust expectable to see one, because all the scenary and the raptors leed you to that kind of toughts. but in TR2...Jesus...i was freezed by panic and surprise,,,and i was killed,,lol:D

I got goosebumps screaming and running in circles, shooting at everything. I tried to run back where I came from but I can't. then it got Lara.

oh God yeah. First time I saw it I totally freaked out. I had to take a deep breath and relax for a minute before re-starting :o

That was the scariest moment I have seen in seven tomb raider games. I was expecting something to happen in that quiet valley *tension, tension, lara running, stomps, AAAARRRGGGHHHH! You don't get those moments in AOD or Legend.

That was the scariest moment I have seen in seven tomb raider games. I was expecting something to happen in that quiet valley *tension, tension, lara running, stomps, AAAARRRGGGHHHH! You don't get those moments in AOD or Legend.

Yeah, that atmosphere of the game is what makes it unique. Those quiet dark places where all you can hear is Lara's footsteps... brrr

when I played TR1 for the verry first time I was 6!
when I came at that Giant T-Rex, I was REALLY REALLY REALLY scared...
my mum had to kill it :p
but when my mum is playing and Lara jumps backwards, my mum is gonna do that too.
at that moment my PS is broken, I think you allready know what happened,
she jumped too much backwards that my PS was falling down of my television...

Ha. I had artificial nails by the time I met the T-Rex, and I was playing with a Nokia N-Gage. It took me way too long to kill it. I even had to cut my thumb's fake nail to shoot more. Then I wrote "Killing a T-Rex with just your thumb is difficult!" as my screen name for MSN Messenger :D

I loved it! :hug: One of my all time favorite moments in gaming! :tmb: The raptors were a hint, but still, I didn't expect to go up against anything that big! :vlol: What was I thinking??? :ton: But at least we had somewhere to hide, to catch our breath and nail that sucker! :mis: The mutant at the start of the last level (the giant torso) was a pain! :eek: Trapped on that ledge, having to dodge him and all the bullets it took to kill him! It took me 3 days to kill that guy! :hea:

i knew to expect it, but it still scared me. i ran as fast as i could to cover screaming. i did beat on my own at least.

I will never, ever forget my first brush with the T Rex. I was studying for a degree in Palaeontology at the time, so the inclusion of dinos already had me thrilled to bits... however, first time I heard the music start up and that 'thump...thump...thump...' as the T Rex rounded the corner had me absolutely *terrified*!! Of course, I got chomped the first time I came across it - I was actually physically shaking in shock, and had to ring up my course mate (and fellow TR player) Suzi to tell her all about it as a way of calming myself down! The only things that beat the TRex were the mutants... this has to be one of the most evocatice, amazing gaming moments I have ever experienced in any game ever. Just pure genius.
