My favourite film is Unleashed (starring Jet Li, Bob Hoskins and Morgan Freeman). It's about a man called Danny, who was brought up by Bart, a cockney gangster, who has trained Danny to be little more than a savage dog that's fantastic at fighting and can take on numerous enemies and come off best. He manages to escape from Bart and is taken in by a blind piano tuner, Sam, and his step-daughter Victoria.

I like the way Unleashed manages to be both an action-y kind of movie, as well as a rather sweet tale of friendship and family and stuff. Also, it's stocked high with cockney gangsters, despite being set in Scotland.

My close seconds are:

South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut - Simply hilarious. The best musical EVER. :D
Fight Club - Nothing like I thought it would be. Brilliant story, dark humour and fun to watch.
Mean Girls - A cut above other teen movies.
The Magdelene Sisters - Incredibly sad!

Kill Bill 1&2 - I loved the Eastern influence and fast-paced action sequences of 1 and the diolouge and music of 2
Saw - really phsycological and it made me question my survival instinct and made me so glad to be alive
V for Vendetta - I loved how dramatic it was and it really made me think.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail - Such fun. :D
Saving Private Ryan - very touching but it would have been better if a certain someone hadn't died.
Saved! - Makes you really think about your faith in a non preachy way and is also hilarious
The Devil's Rejects - undescribable with an amazing soundtrack

And lots more I just cant think of.

American Beauty
Citizen Kane
Dog Day Afternoon
The Hill
The Anderson Tapes, Basicly anything by Sidney Lumet (its a very long list)

thats it for my most prefered. There are more but i'd be here typing all day. Oh, I think I should mention that I was a film student in college, hence the long list. :D

Oh yea, I almost forgot, a personal favorite of mine is a little movie called Wavelength by Michael Snow. I was forced to watch it twice for film theory and criticism. It's basicly a 45 minute slow zoom starting from a wide angle shot in a studio apartment, slowly zooming into a picture on the wall. Also there's a constant noise that continuously increases in pitch and volume to the point that by the time the film is over, you have a very bad headache and want to kill your professor.

Tomb Raider (First one only!)
Resident Evil (First one only!)
Silent Hill
Dirty Dancing LOL!
The Passion of the Christ

Agent 47

GoodFellas.............well written, well executed, has abit of everything best mob flick since The Godfather (part 1)

Police Story...........no matter what decade, this is the best Jackie Chan film ever made, and Project A aint too bad either :D

Star Trek VI TUC.....of the Kirk era movies this is the best one, good writing, good score, good send off for that crew

the ST TNG films were simply dire, and a waste of cinema space, would have been better as a series of tv feature length movies.

Dirty Harry............a classic, nuff said

there's hundreds of movies i enjoy, The Ring 1 & 2 are fine examples of Japanese film making, just a shame Hollywood ran out of idea's and felt the need to remake them....same with Battle Royale also :hea:
