The next installment in the Half Life series is on its way. There is not yet a set release date, but it looks like it'll be ready for Christmas.

Trailer 1 (this is available on completion of Episode 1 anyway) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1BNqwX4D7o)
Trailer 2 (similar to Trailer 1, but with some different footage) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4i5iXxuthg&mode=related&search=)
Trailer 3 (a different trailer altogether (my favourite)) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbTGfhozwYc)

There are also several gameplay videos available at www.planethalflife.com and www.youtube.com, but I prefer not to watch them so as not to give away too much. The above trailers give a very nice sample of what's to come, and it seems to be getting better and better when I thought it couldn't. :D

Oww Episode One was great as much as it can be, BUT Episode Two seems even better and with a double cream! ^^

btw I think this thread will better fit in the game forum... ~moving

Ok, I just read the Steam website, and it turns out it is set to release in 2007. :( It will be released on the following platforms:

PC.
Playstation 3.
XBox 360.

PC I can understand, though a new grapihics card may be in order.
Playstation 3 means that it is an exceptionally good game with incredible graphics, and judging from the trailers I think it will be.
XBox 360. Now this confused me greatly. If it's good enough for a Playstation 3, how on earth could an XBox 360 cope with it?

As much I can tell from the 8 mins gameplays trailers (there are few @ youtube) there are no new effects or tehniques used.. I mean it's still a DirectX9 game. So my ol'good GF6800GT will do just perfect for full experiance ^^

XBox 360. Now this confused me greatly. If it's good enough for a Playstation 3, how on earth could an XBox 360 cope with it?

Nuu.. Episode Two is still a light (doesn't need much to run smoothly) game.. I presume it wont even use a one third of PS3 hardware capability.
