View Full Version : "Speak with Lara Croft - Desktop Buddy" released

Hello all!

I have released a very early beta version of the desktop buddy. This is basically just like the web-based version, but in a seperate window. It is nothing special, so don't expect much.

Please see the original thread here: http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=74040

Here is a quick screenie of it so far:

You can download the program from here: http://alpha-lite.co.uk/laracroft/swlc_installer.exe

This software is based on the Visual Basic scripting language and need the VB Runtime files to be installed to work correctly. If you cannot get the program to run, please ensure you have the runtime files installed from here:

This software also needs Internet Explorer 6 or above to work correctly.
You will need to have an active Internet connection and configure your firewall/NAT settings to allow the program to connect, prior to running the program.

You can also check out the forums related to this chat, here: http://www.alpha-lite.co.uk/forums/f...lay.php?fid=12 (http://www.alpha-lite.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?fid=12) (please feel free to register). Also, if you do register, you get the chance to have your own personized responces and have Lara to reply whatever you like!! Check the forums for more details :p

Thanks everyone and please tell me any suggestions you can think of!

There wasnt a thread about this, there was a thread about the web-based version. There was a post in that thread, yes. But I decided to make a new thread beause people probably wont find the post in the thread.

I have updated the layout a bit and it now displays better. I have also fixed a bug in the textbox focus script.

Also, you can now check the site for information regarding both versions of the chat (web-based and desktop buddy). http://www.alpha-lite.co.uk/index.php?id=wip/swlc

Thanks all,

Well, nobody seems to like the idea of the desktop buddy compared to the web-based system.. lol
