Original Tomb Raider 1

Hi, i have a problem.
Im looking for a tr sett on ebay.

But somewhere i se the tr 1 casing is black and quite big, and on some other picture i see its like the others.
Which one of theese is the original?
Or which would you get?

It doesn't really matter which version you get, as long as it is not the Sold Out Software version. I am assuming you are looking for the PC version?
The SOS version does not always have audio.

Actually i forgott to say, im looking for the playstation version.
Ive always played tr on ps, i hate using the keyboard.

But i cant get gold to tr on playstation, that a boomer.

Do we have a ps vs pc thread here, and what do you guys play it on?
Maybe ill consider bying it for the pc.

But to the case, i dont want anny platinum stuff, i would like the original, dont know if that is the black one or the ordinary one.
And is there an official strategy guide for nr 6 and 7. i know it is for 1-5.

It makes no difference whether it is original or platinum with PS1, they are all the same. But keep in mind these are all second hand, so they will not be in perfect condition. Also they do not always play on the PS2, some people have had trouble getting them to play. The graphics on Tomb Raider 1 do not look that good compared to the PC version installed on a modern PC using the advance installer and DGVoodoo

I want the original not because i think they play better, but its just nice to have and maybe some time in the future they'ill be worth some money.

There is a strategy guide for 7 pretty sure there would be one for 6 as well. As far as l know Tomb Raider 1 was only released in the UK and Australia with the thicker case (that does not fit in CD racks)

You mean the Textures project? It is an unfinished project (only first 2or 3 levels) and works with Glidos only.
To get the best of both worlds, you simply install with DgVoodoo, read the details here (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/faq/tr1.html). :)

i think the black one you are referring to is the "Premier Collection". this is the version i got for myself for each of the first three games because it includes the director's cut levels for each one :jmp: if you can, i would defenetly try to get this one :D :tmb:

What extra's do you get in the premier version, or are they the same as the "gold' versions. Either way they are not available for playstation :(

What is on them: the Gold versions.
TR1 / Unfinished Business
TR2 / Golden mask
TR3 / The Lost Artefact
TR4 The Last Revelation (1 cd, no extras)

l play Tomb Raider on both PC and Playstation, although it looks better on PC now l have finally managed to get it to work, so thats how l will be playing it from now on :D

toonamy, i strongly suggest getting the PC version for how superior you can get it to look with a couple of steps.
