When you get in the area around the Sphinx, explore the ledges around where you can climb. Keep checking the open space between the rocks and the Sphinx, and you should be able to spot something "floating" in the air ;) There are two ways you can get to that secret, one is very easy, the other is very tricky yet both are fun :)

So thats what has been bugging me, a set of Uzis floating in the air!
I hear there is an invisable ledge? How do I get to it? Will it help get me to the Uzis? Are the Uzis on the invisable ledge? Tell me everything!...

I usually get to it from the top of the head of the Sphinx. From there, if you look at the right angle, you can see them very clearly. But you have to position Lara very carefully before performing the jump, because instead of the ledge she may dive in the chaos.
Otherwise, you can get to it from one of the ledges that you climb along the rocks opposite the Sphinx. At some point, as you climb, if you look to your left, you will spot them floating in the air. It's quite easy to reach the invisible ledge from there, as you only need a run & grab, and Lara doesn't lose any health this way, like she does with the first method.

It was a slope. So we had to decide either each high or low. I said to dad "They might not be exactly in the middle of the tile" as the flooring is set in tiles not all one tile for a room.
So it took quite some time, to figure all this out.
Dose anybody where the lever is ib the massive pool in Sanctruary of the Scion? <--Edit
^ You need to find and place the two Ankhs on top of the gigantic sphinx. Then the door will open, which will lead you there...
The lever I think you're looking for is down in the tunnel between the feet of the statue on the right, just to the right of the gold door. It partially drains the lake - hang on!

LOL me neither; I only thought you can get to them from the head of the Sphinx. But I found the other way sometime last year, when we were playing through the No Scratch challenge. Lara would lose some health from jumping from the Sphinx head to the invisible ledge, so I had to find out an alternative path. As I was exploring, I saw the Uzis floating nearby while climbing the rocks :)
EDIT. Oh, it just crossed my mind that you probably refer to the level in general? Well even so you get to lose them soon, so you have to reclaim them all over again.

Ah yes! Sorry, totally missed your post then.
I thought they were even earlier than that though? Like on top of the pillar in City of Kahmoon. (The pillar being the one at the centre of the four draw bridges)

That's not that hard if you have loads of medi packs and you're patient with the enemies. By that I mean if you can shoot something from a great height so that it can't reach you then do so, but when it runs off into a different room where it can't be seen then just keep locked onto it and wait till it comes back.
But I guess you knew that already :D
