*I mean, c'mon, who the heck didn't like the good old T-Rex in The Lost Valley? Great, wasn't it? And who managed to survive that thing the first time they laid their eyes on it. It ripped me in two 3 seconds after I saw it. I mean, I might have survived a little longer, but who wasn't scared enough to move?! Ah, yes, with it's square head, blockly body, and scary roar, who else thinks that T-Rex was just awesome?

It is kind of tricky first time, I, now find it easy. By meeting the T-Rex keep running forward and you will see a little cave on the right, run into there and kill it, you may need to distract it a little bit to get its attention.

I just jump around and keep shooting at it.
The raptors scared me too, the way they just kept popping up everywhere.

For me the TR I T-Rex is still the best (I like the T-rex in Dino Crisis too btw)

What a shock I got the first time I saw him
Dino Crisis Rex - Whoa, that was a fantastic game!
And TR1 rex is still a great enemy. It can still be tricky too! I'm still eaten by it sometimes when I play it thesedays - I still get the 'i don't want to go back into the valley, because it's stomping around the outside of the cave... perhaps if I make a run for it it won't catch me... ' :D

ahh yes the first time ever i got there by demos when i was small scared the Freaking hell out of me, but i did survive i just went running everywhere without knowing where to go to:D

Yes! The T-Rex was an awesome enemy! I remember when i first came across it, i was just like "WOA!" and i paused my game lol!
And i do believe i died against it on my first try also.
Too bad we can't leave it alive and get larson to chase lara in there! :eek: It would be a riot to see it eat larson! :mis: :vlol:

The best enemies in TR have to be the Dinos! Gotta love the T-Rex. When I first saw that thing I stopped playing the game for like 2 days, lol..it freaked me out that much. Then I went back and discovered the little cave. Gotta love hiding too. :ton:

It startled the stuffing out of me the first time and it took 3-4 Lara sacrifices to figure out the way to bring it down. But man! One of the best in TR1 !
Okay, first off, i'm new here :ton: I discovered this forum yesterday and lurked a bit. Glad to find this place!
I read this thread about the t-rex and thought man i sure would love to just get to that stage to be able to see him!
Here's my background....I purchased the game a couple of years ago and played it, never getting past the first swimming pools (i don't know what that level is), then i moved out of state, packed up my gaming supplies and haven't touched them since. This week my boyfriend purchased a ps2 and i dug out my gaming stuff and re-discovered lara croft! Yesterday I got as far as the bear by the pool and the furry beast kept kicking my butt and chewing me to bits, i just could not get past him. I conquered him first thing this morning!!!! I have since discovered the world of the t-rex! The first time i ran into him i panicked and kept running around in circles. How the heck i got myself into that mode i don't know. :yik: In any case, since i was a panicked fool i deserved to die! :hea: Well, my second (and last) interaction with him, i just cut and ran like heck....well as fast as that darn control button would let me go...where is the hyper speed button when you need it? i wanted to leave him in the dust. I decided to consult the forum since i had read about the t-rex yesterday....so there's a cave eh? sure didn't see it in my panic to get away....i ran straight into a dead end and almost seemed to have the better of him in my panicked blaze of bullets but in the end he kicked my butt. :hea: thanks for the info on the cave, i will now step back and into that huge monsters world and kick some butt!!!!!!;) Margarita

I'm new here too......in case you haven't noticed my post count.:D
I've been a fan of TR since 96 and have to say that of all the moments in all the games, Seeing the T-Rex for the first time is one of the greatest.
Now I gotta go back and replay and relive it thanks to threads like this.:)

I've never been killed by the T-Rex. The first time I saw it I was running casually towards it. It scared me when I just saw it come out of nowhere running towards me. I just ran into the alcove on the right when it was coming towards me. I then easily killed it with pistols safely.
Well, i did it! I went back and ran like heck and landed in the pool of water under the waterfall. He almost had me! From there i made my way thru the cave and from a safe position, killed the bugger!
taking time to energize with a baked potato and a can of sunkist:D
i've been over every square inch of the valley and just can't seem to find my way acrossed the bridge. i'm guessing that's the next step?! (i hope i'm not spoiling anything by mentioning this? if so, please let me know of forum etiquette on that manner...i belong to 5 other forums, none of which are gaming related so i don't want to do/say the wrong thing :whi: :D

Considering your ID, you might like to know I once played all the way thru TR2 without shooting any tigers or snow leopards. Only got clawed a little.

First time I saw them I literally closed my eyes and dived into the couch pillow. It was like that for the first few times. Now I look at him as a joke. In fact, I find it easier to kill the two in the second tomb raider (level 1 pitt). I guess cuz I was in a smaller space and it was hard for them to manuever, while back in the valley the rex has more space for jaw opening.

ahh, that damned t-rex.. took me ages the first time i came across it.. lol but on the first level in tr2 the t-rex's are easier to kill ..:confused: hmm.. but i like the lost valley t-rex's smile! :D hehe he should go work for colgate..

Yeah....they kept coming and coming...I thought there was a bug or that I was doing sth wrong and that they would never stop hunting me......AAAAARRRGGGGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*runs in panic*
