It makes your CD-ROM drive spin like madness for about 30 seconds, then a cup of coffee comes out of the disk drive :tea:

The cd will spin so hard, then you heard a little cracking sound and your dvd driver started to smoke. Then you learn not to put things where it shouldn't be.

Perhaps you should ask in the technical forum.

This has no connection with AOD or TR.

I guess she/he wanted to know about the AOD PS2 disk specifically :)

Anyway, what really happens is what Lara Coft Baby describes. And by the way, there is really no reason why you should put the PS2 disk in the PC CD-drive.

I heard of some converters for some games, from PS to PC, but I'm not sure.

Afaik, a decent PS2-emulator doesn't exist. Yet.

So if I have PC DVD ROM I can play PS2 games?

In theory you should be but it doesn't work like that unfortunately. PS2 games (along with Xbox, Gamecube, Playstation, Xbox 360 etc.) all get 'finalised'. Basically it means the disc will only work on that specific console hence why you can't play PS2 games on an Xbox or Xbox 360.

As someone said earlier, if you do put a PS2 disc in a PC DVD drive all that will happen is a folder will appear with the content folders of the game: Data, Audio etc. Your PC may stutter and make some noise but that's okay. You should try it with an old game you don't really like if you want to test it out.

Now on the Xbox you can actually get it to play some PC games, Some hackers I MIT did it and cracked the security codes on the system so when you do that its pretty much an IBM that can play Xbox and PC games.
Right now they are still trying to crack the 360 open. But MIcrosoft got a little smart and invested in it so people wouldn't be getting a 300 dollar PC and Xbox gaming machine! I heard that some one was selling the original Xbox with an added hard drive that had over 80 Xbox games on it for just 700 dollars. Yeah they got caught though. NOw the PS has no problems of this, this may be one of the reasons why the PS3 is so expensive, sony makes sure nobody can open the PS3 and make it do things they don't want it to do, plus I heard it cost them quite a bit of money to secure the Blue ray Discs and everything. But playing PS games on the PC never heard of it other than Emulators!

All said and done. You can play PS games on pc, but no TR for PS2, as far as i know. Just do an extensive search on your preferred search engine for psx/ps2 emulator.

There is no current PS2 emulator that will play any PS2 game. The best that can be achieved at the moment is some (few) demos, and that's it.
