The red carpet is being rolled out at London's Roundhouse tonight as the winners of this year's British Academy Video Games Awards are announced.

Vernon Kay will host the event, with fellow TV presenters Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Iain Lee, Dave Berry and Angelica Bell set to give out awards.

Duran Duran's Nick Rhodes will also attend, along with Lord of the Rings star Andy Serkis, impressionist John Culshaw, actor Colin Salmon and DJ Paul Gambaccini.

From the world of videogames will come Lara Croft model Karima Adebibe, plus Mario, Sonic and a group of Star Wars stormtroopers.

Quirky titles such as We Love Katamari, Guitar Hero and Brain Training will be battling it out for Best Game award alongside Hitman: Blood Money, Lego Star Wars II and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. GRAW has received eight nominations in total, as has PSP title Loco Roco - click here for the full list.

If anyone is willing to buy me a round-trip flight to London, I'd appreciate it.

Oh and book two seats for the return flight, unless Karima sits on my lap ;)

Five nominations, but only one award... :(

The winner is Troels B. Folmann for the original score, and IMO he totally deserves it ! :tmb:
But some of the others categories have strange winners...
