10 minutes my sister offed me a glass of rosé. I drank it in 5 mins.

2 minutes kater I got another glass and drank it.

All of a sudden I feel reely drunk. I am very aware that Im moving (how weird it may sound.
Im also getting the feeling that there is something on my head.

Is it normal to get really woozy after just 2 small glasses of rosé?

It had 11.5% volume.

If you're not used to alcohol, yes. Some people, like me, can't stand much alcohol.

Rivendell
06-10-06, 18:18
Do you drink often? When was the last time you drank? Have you eaten today?

Those are the questions I'd be asked!

Reggie
06-10-06, 18:18
Umm, I'm not sure but either way you should drink nothing more than a glass of water and go lay down for a little while until you feel a bit better ;)

Geck-o-Lizard
06-10-06, 18:18
Everyone handles alcohol differently. Do you drink regularly or is that the first alcohol you've had for weeks/months?

I get that feeling after a single 25cl bottle of Stella; you're probably a lightweight like I am. :)

No! You are in danger! Run to the hospital ASAP!

When's the last time you ate? If you haven't eaten anything for a while, a couple of glasses can make you a bit whoozy and lightheaded. Well it does with me anyway:p

You're 14? Please stop drinking.

Geck-o-Lizard
06-10-06, 18:23
To answer your question then, yes, it is normal to feel like that. And to echo Kam's words of wisdom, don't drink any more. (Alcohol's not all it's cracked up to be.) :)

Reggie

Then you should take my advice and go lie down with a glass of water if you need it, no use even sitting at your computer in a state like yours.

At 12.5%, feeling that at your age is normal, your body is not used to that alcoholic content. Just dont have anymore before you get seriously drunk ;)

Lavinder

Go have water. Don't lie down otherwise you will get dizzy, sit up and watch something.

Don't post when drunk! :o

Eat some bread; it soaks up alcohol. And don't drink if you're only 14. It doesn't make you cool or anything.

Well, since you're only 14, your body obviously isn't used to alcohol, so yeah, you're going to feel weird. But seriously, although 2 small glasses of alcohol certainly won't do any harm to you, I strongly suggust you don't have any alcohol until you're a little older. :)

You´ll laugh about this tomorrow. :D

At your age, and not used to alcohol, two glasses is enough to get drunk. ;)

If you´re like me, however, I have to drink more than two bottles to get drunk...

Drink some water and eat something. :)

It's spirits ready-mixed with fruit juice or fizzy drinks to take away the taste of the alcohol. Lots of young people drink them because they don't like actually being able to taste the poision they're consuming.

jarhead
06-10-06, 18:52
A few of my friends get drunk, but I dont really drink. They drink to get drunk and then seriously regret it in the morning and wish they hadn't.

I dont drink mainly because my parents hav'nt stopped me having it, and I dont need to get tipsy to have fun.

And I though Alchopops were popular in the 80's?

Yeah it's been shown that a glass of red wine every now and then can help boost your health, but that's the antioxidants from the grapes, not the effect of the alcohol in it. You can gain the same boost by drinking regular non-alcoholic red grape juice. ;)

And I didnt know that, but red grape juice is kinda hard to get hold off here, or stuff that tastes edible, its really bitter

True, Gecko, but alcohol has a very socialising effect that weighs up for it, at least in my opinion. But I am at least old enough.

I have pretty much the same reaction to alcohol as you Anthony. On deepbluesea's hen night I actually fell asleep in my chair after two slow bottles of Budweiser (and after a hearty meal).

Best not to get too attacted to alcohol Anthony ;), even though the odd glass of wine etc occasionaly is good for you - in both a social and biological sense :D.

Mixing drinks is always a risky strategy. Sometimes it works out fine, but more often than not it ends up in a nasty hangover :D
