Welcome to TRF tipson! :wve:
You'll probably find that this will be moved to the TR1 section!
The 3 cogs are in the following places:
1. Dive into the pool under the big waterfall in the Valley, then climb up all those rocks and it's up there.
2. Across the bridge, access of which is gained near the temple building.
3. In the pool in the temple building.

Moved to TR1 section :)
I'm currently teaching my girlfriend Tomb Raider. We started with TR1 and she is now at the beginning of the Valley. I wonder how she will react to the T-rex, she was already afraid for the big brown bear and even the first bats scared her. :D
Maybe I will post a story about this whole adventure, it truely is funny to see some one play this game for the first time. (Mission Impossible 1: Find the music-room :D )
Off-Topic: Catlantean, LOVE your sig. A big Romero-fan too?

Watch out for the Raptors jumping out at you from round the corners :yik:
I remember years ago on another website , the skeleton at the enterance to the lost valley was called 'Dead man Joe' and everytime this level is mentioned, I always remember poor old Joe :D
Its amazing how Tomb Raider ravels through ones thoughts :cln:
