View Full Version : What Platform will you be getting AE for?
Just wanted to know which platform the majority of the people were getting the Anniversary Edition for.

PS2, PSP, or PC?
I'm getting it for PS2. :)
Each version has it's ups and down's. Control-wise PS2 is better and of course we can play it on the tv. The PC version may have better graphics and you can mod, but the upgrades and system requirements really are a hastle.
How about you?

PS2 and maybe PC in a couple of years if it can handle it . :tmb:
ps2 psp & hopefully x360 and if theres like an LevelEditor ill get pc ver.:D
PC of course, no silly consoles here in the house, just PCs, much more posibilities and customizeable

Xbox 360. I can wish!
PS2 :(
PC most likely, l have become addicted to taking screenshots, and now have a gamepad so the controls are not a hassle, since the graphics will be easier on my card than Legend was l should have no trouble playing it :D

Since it is not available forthe Xbox360 I will probably get it for the PC with the PS2 as a fall back.

PC, and I'm not going to add a single word because I have nothing to say other than what I've said already and I always say one word when someone asks me this question and that word is PC and I don't explain it in a lot of sentences as I don't have any explanation and sentences to make...
The rentable kind...
After (and if) a demo is released, I may fork out for a PS2 version.
PC absolutely and maybe on PS2

I will definetley be getting TR:A for the PS2, i don't think my computer would be able to run it lol!

PC. For a start, I don't have any console in my house, so getting it in any other version wouldn't make sense for me at all.
Ps2 and Later on pc wich I hope has the option for next gen..

I disagree. :p Sitting back in a couch playing a TR1 remake on your big screen really seems awesome to me.
Probably PS2 :)
But if PC runs it, then thatll do me good :D
PS2 - if it doesn't break down on me (it's looking really old and dusty now...)
I disagree. :p Sitting back in a couch playing a TR1 remake on your big screen really seems awesome to me.
You can do that with the PC. Just plug an outcable into the television, get a wireless keyboard/mouse/Gamepad, and you can adjust the resolution of the game, unlike the PS2, which is fixed.
A PC evolves. A PS2 doesn't.
For me, ill be buying PS2 and PSP. PSP so I can take it away and I can play against my brother to race through levels with him and just well, play throught the levels and help each other.
For PS2 so I can enjoy the beauty and everything, plus my mum can play it then cos' she dont get the psp controls, too much hold this butten and press that button while tapping another button, plus she has her own ps2.

Wish it were coming out on XBox! I don't have a PS2 and I don't like that type of game on pc controls! :(
Are you able to use a joypad on a pc?
If so then that would be quite cool! :)
PlayStation 2, but I want it on 360!

Probably. I wouldn't suggest buying one right now without seeing what TR:A supports, but if you already have one you should probably try it out with the Legend demo to see if you like how it feels :)
Don't own a console, so PC

Cheers for the tip! :D
I don't have a joypad for PC currently since I only play Broken Sword on it, which is point and click, so I'll wait and see what it supports. I'm hoping it wouldn't be disimilar to using a console joypad. :)

PC due to the graphics will be better and patches and other advantages of having it on PC.
i will play it on ps2, but mainliy becasue my pc is a big trash,.. but once i update it i will get the pc version to play it,.. and then,.... i will get an adapter for playing with ps controls or game cube controls on pc,.. i just hate the control in pc after pop,.. quite difficult,. so better the ps2 or game cube control on this next gen games,.. althou the best controls for the classics games is still the keypad from the pc,..:))
PC, the only way to play. :jmp:
PC, regardless of whether the graphics are next-gen or not. I don't own any consoles.

PC, since I still don't have a PSP. :) (Otherwise I'd get both :D )
PS2 for me. My PC isn't very powerful, and it certainly wouldn't be powerful enough for TR:AE. Its all more simple with a console anyway. No installation ^.^
ps2 and psp!! Lara on big screen and Lara on the go. You cant go wrong!!
PC, PC, always PC :p I don't have anything else.
I hope mine can run it though...
PC - I've always played TR games on the PC, and besides the graphics will be better (not to mention patch access, etc.)
Looks like PC is in first followed by PS2 not far behind with PSP struggling in last place. :p
Might as well throw my hat in the ring... PS2 for me! :D
PC. Last console I owned was the original nintendo 8bit. Haven't seen the need for one since then.
PS2.
I've always played Tomb Raider on the PS and prefer it that way.

So what did you play Legend on? Xbox? They'll probably end up porting AE to the Xbox eventually. I heard that it's relatively easy to port games back and forth between Xbox and PC, and AE is coming out on PC.
PC!!! Its not like I have an option

PS2 I suppose :)
I figure my pc has one more opportunity to play a Tomb Raider game and it might as well be the Anniversary game. By the time Legend2 rolls around, the old work-horse will be in need of major overhaul and upgrade. On the other hand, I just bought a Sony LCD TV which I could hook up for this game.
I'm guessing there will be no Next-Gen for this game.

Due to the lack of gaming consoles around here in my room, I'll get it for PC. Just hoping, that they revised there shading engine (ATI owner)

Me too. I've got every other TR game on PC and either PS1 or PS2. Might as well keep the tradition going!
But I do prefer the higher rez I can play on PC. Plus, it's very portable for me with my Dell gaming laptop.
I don't know yet. probably PC if I decide not to give up my PS2.
PS2...........give it a good send off before i get a PS3:jmp:

More than likely I'll get it for my PS2. I do want to get a PSP at some point, but I'm a little hesitant about throwing down $200.00 for it right now.

Sony PS2 for me, or PS3, even. :)

Seriously though, getting it on PC and if its announced for Xbox, I'll probably get it on that. Meanwhile I'm going to track myself down a copy of TR1 for the psone.
Tomb Raider 1 looks much better on the PC ;)
Definitely for the PS2.:)

I have played both, esp the PC version with Glide.

I plan to get it for the PC, I also plan on getting a Gamepad Controller so I can play legend easier.
PS2. I love the PS2 control, It was perfect for Legend so it should be the same for TR:A unless they tweak it. But if they would release a level editor along with the PC version it'd make me buy both.

PS2 and PC, but I hope to play it on XBOX360 :)
I'd like a pc and ps2 version because of the convenient control version :) Also I'm wondering about buying TRA on psp, but Legend on this platform has irritating camera... :(
PS2, since they aren't releasing it on the 360.
Something is telling me that the screens comes from an PS2 version and not PC version, I'm not telling that PC will have next-gen, but I hardly doubt that they can only do this on PC. I think it'll a lil' better... :) :D

I doubt that CD will develop a next-gen version only for the PC. The only reason legend had a next-gen option was because they were developing it on the 360. The 360 version was their first priority, then they ported it to the PC. That's why the PC version had so many bugs.
I think I will buy it on PS2 twice, but if the PC version will have next-gen, then I will buy one for PC and one for PS2.
But posibly I will not buy it we will see...

I would think so, but you'd best wait for the demo and try it yourself before buying the game :)
PC 'cos it'll be cheaper (MUCH) with better graphics and you'll still be able to play it a decade from now after all the 'next gen consoles' have gone the way of the SNES and dreamcast/Megadrive/PS1, etc. Plus my PC looks awesome connected to a HD TV :D
ps2 (cause I connected it to a movie projector uahahahahaha :jmp: ), and because my pc is crap...

ps2/3 if i get 1
Well, I cracked open my PS2, dusted around a bit (especially the DVD lens) and put her back together. Walla - it worked - it's fixed!
So anyway, I pop in TR1 so my daughter - who is only 6 but LOVES watching me play TR - can get a taste of the original game. She's watched me play it on my Laptop, but never on PS on my bigscreen. Anyway, I forgot how badly this game looks compared to my PC. Not even close. About a 1000% difference to be honest. Needless to say, I won't be playing TRA on anything but my Dell Laptop.
But hey - I can now play my Off Road Fury games again!
