Have you tried Ogg Vorbis codec. (http://www.free-codecs.com/Vorbis_Ogg_ACM_download.htm)?

Yes, I have, but I've got no idea what to do with it!

How? These are the files in the folder:

There's no obvious installation procedure, to me anyway.

Try codec pack all in 1 (http://www.free-codecs.com/Codec_Pack_All_in_1_download.htm).

I get "RealPlayer needs new software to play this clip" (ogg files) and then it can't find it, even though I installed the all in one codec pack.

Well does RealPlayer offer the update?

You know Real Player installs spyware on your PC?

What you should do is uninstall Realplayer and install Real Alternative 1.51 (http://codecpack.nl/realalt151.exe) (6.69 MB)

Then install the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.53 (http://codecpack.nl/klmcodec153.exe) (34.0 MB) to have all possible codecs on your PC.

It does, then I get this:

Thanks! But what's "Media Player Classic"? I thought it was Real Alternative.

Make your selections at start of installation process, so never install blindly whatever. Read, and select!

So I need Real Player and alternative?

Joseph

No. Alternative is instead of Real Player, that is why the name: "alternative".

FWIW, all you ever had to do in the first place (with the Ogg Vorbis codec) was to doubleclick the file that showed up as "vorbisacm, Setup Information, 1 KB."
("Setup Information" files have the extension .inf and are basically scripts to install device drivers - or codecs/software drivers.)
