In your list of fav TRs where do you think TRAE will rank? I think it will go third in my list.
Current list

I think the remake will be even better than the original and therefore better than TR5, 6 and 7 also. I dont think it will be as good as TR2 or 4 but it could go close to being as good as TR2.
Nah, it's made by CD, so will probably have that Legend feeling.

As it is a remake of one of my favourite TRs, with a Legend feeling to it as well, i am gona love it!

The way I see it CD cant go wrong. Its a remake. They already have everything they need. At the very least it should be about as good as TR1. If they do a good job it will be better and thats what I'm predicting.

*Can't fancy TR1 just becouse it was first like others, it was my favourite before 2000.,and now I see no point in playing that game again. The newer the better!

I hope and pray you are right! I do love playing TR, but I don't want it to turn into a wussy game because legend wussed out. PLEASE CD, don't make all your future TR's that weak. ;) I hope the game is all there and not some shortened abreviated version with only 5 levels. Or that they take out all the hard parts and replace them with interactive cutscenes, or the grapple ruins any death defying jumps.

With a remake, everyone excepts something to change (otherwise, there would be no need for a remake), while expecting his/her favourite parts to remain completely untouched. You can already see this here. But while it seems right now that everyone wants the same things, after TRAE we will see how different the sides actually are. There will be fierce battles between those who can't understand how any sane man could remove "X" against the others who always hated "X" and are angry that the opportunity to remove "Y" as well wasn't used.

I expect alot to change. I'd hate it if it was the same game with just updated graphics. I've not played the remake of RE1 as I dont have a gamecube but I heard that 70% of the game was new content. I wouldn't mind if TRAE was like this. Parts must be recognisable but overall I want it to be a new game. It still has to be better or at least as good as TR1 because they have the game and all they can do is improve certain parts and add more bits to the game.
Hmm I don't think it will beat the original, because nothing can ever beat a classic game like that, but I think it is going to be a brilliant game, despite who it's made by.

If they get everything right from the original, (Which the orginal is practically perfect), and add more better and harder things that makes it feel up to date and Tomb Raider like, new areas, levels. Then I think it will be heads above all other TR games including the original.

Even with the improved graphics it cannot beat the original version of blocky Lara.

I think we`d all like to rate TRAE highly - it is an anniversary edition after all.
Anyway, I reckon I would probably end up rating TRAE as below (and this is me trying to be optimistic hoping less platforms/consoles for TRAE = more time to develop/program/bug fix/invent puzzles etc...):

Indeed so. The classics are incomparable just as how the innovations (AOD, Legend, and Anniversary) are to the former.
