How much levels do you want, and what about levels lenght?
at least as many as there were in TR1 of course, and the length depends on the diffuclty of the game, hopefully it's difficult and complicated and keeps us busy for at least as long as TR1 did :)

i think that would make a great level
and maybe the cutscene where lara is burning the rope and infiltrates natla technologies maybe they could make a level of that

Well, obviously I want all TR1 levels. Especially Atlantis and Great Pyrimad.
the original had 15 levels,.. plus 4 more in the unfiniched bussiness& the shadow of the cat,.. i would like tomb raider AE to have:
1st: the original levels, or at least the new concept of the classic level (cave, lost valley, tomb of qualopec, etc) with the old names,... so it would be like 15 levels....
2nd: complett new levels that may fit in between the classics with new names, and then the developpers could recreate their new concepts complettely by thenself,.... not being afraid of destroying the classic feeling,.. (this levels should not be optional, like in resident evil remake, should fit perfectly in the storyline and development in the game, but it would be consider as an add)
3rd: the bonus levels,... close to be a new game, but really short, more like the gold levels, but with some fmv, and laras talking why she get there once again,... and she must look different than in the original ae game,.. more like a eastern egg of the future tomb raiders remakes or games,...
so in the end this would be my idea of tr ae level order...
1: Caves
2: City of Vilcabamba
3: The Lost Valley
NL: Rampage -this new level lara must get out of the lost valley, and by doing so she discovers that her way in, its already closed,.. so she must find another way along with new dinossaurs and new temples...
4: Tomb of Qualopec
NL: Natlas leads -this new level should be from the fmv, infiltrating into natlas.
NL: The monks -could be also a level from the fmv how to get up the cliff that goes to St. Francis' where you could fight some monks, and some people that may protect it, as we already know it was a known place for some monks
5: St. Francis' Folly
6: Colosseum
7: Palace Midas
i put a lot of new levels in between cuz i want you to realice that not all new levels should be included as a new level fron the cinematis... and by this i dont mean to erase the cinematics asweell,. this game would be full of them, from level to level,... more like in legend,.. and not more like in the original where they were only a few fmvs... after you could finish a hugh level pack
i would not touch the beginning of the game, because it should be a remembering of the old, and an intro to the new,.. but i would love to play with her in a big hood robe,.. one that can move like her braid with the win,... and when she jumps she could feel like batman,.. je je je..>:) but of course not in the first encounter with the new game...
All 15 levels that were in the original plus maybe a couple extra levels. Perhaps an added level breaking into natla technologies, which was just an FMV in the original. Maybe a bike level from the bike FMV's.

All the levels would be nice. But I'm concerned on how will that be possible to stick in only one DVD. (Or should CDs make it a 2-4 DVD game?)
i guess they can fit all the levels into one dvd,.. resident evil 4 had only one dvd in the ps2 version and lot more info and levels with the assigment ada, and stuffs...
so i dont think there should much problems with that

I would like the 15 original levels, the other 4 from the expansion and perhaps one or two new levels. However, seeing as how TRL turned out, I think it will be something like this:
Level 1: Caves / City of Vilcabamba / The Lost Valley
Level 2: Tomb of Qualopec
Level 3: New level at Natla's building
Level 4: Saint Francis Folly / Collosseum / Palace Midas
Level 5: Cistern / Tomb of Tihocan
Level 6: New level in another modern location
Level 7: City & Obelisk of Khamoon
Level 8: Sanctuary of the Scion
Level 9: Motorbike chase / Natla's Mines
Level 10: Atlantis / The Great Pyramid
I'm sure they will tend to shorten and make a brief mix of the original levels.

I doubt about getting 15 or more levels... But I would say, the ones in TR.
They would not include the gold levels unless they wanted them as bonus levels, and they will be struggling for space as it is. The gold levels had nothing to do with the original story, they were just reworked and harder versions of levels in the original game, considering this is a remake why remake the same level twice, seems pretty pointless

I don't want TR1 gold levels, I want classic levels modified with more areas and monsters to kill. And I want them to keep Natla just as she was, she was perfect in every way.
is there any kind of story on tr gold 1,... ???
is there any justification for her to go back,... i use to think that the return to atlantis was because she was being cloned,.. so far she needed to destroy her clones before they were unleashed,..
can you imagin,.. an army of lara croft?

I would like to see all the levels return, but if a few of the 'not so good' levels from Tomb Raider 1 dont return or they merge them into one level, it wouldn't bother me too much.
I can't wait to see what The Cistern looks like! :D
i have the feeling that the big torso its going to be half made ,.. and that lara will be able to walk up the walls....
And what about extra areas, the areas which Lara cannot explore, you can see more, but it is not necresary, to be in those area to finish the game. Do you want they or not?
OF COURSE!!!!!! those areas are indeed what we need the most, that way you will feel really exploring,.. and not only one way path like in legend.... more rooms to go,.. more caves and places to go,.. even touring would be nice
All the original levels plus the 4 Gold levels. Some new levels would be good as well.
You know, i was thinking. Remember the part were Lara makes this HUGE dive to escape from Natla? That would make a great level.. i'd love to make her make that dive!

The original plus some. Especially the Cistern. :D That will be a great level with revamped puzzles. I hope.
i would love to play some of those fmvs,.. but i love fmvs aswell,.. so if we are going to play the original ones,.. then they should put some fmvs as good as the original had,..

Every Single level from the original updated graphics, mechanics, extra puzzles, extra enemies. TR 1 Gold, same, graphics etc... Extra levels and new areas within the levels. For example Natla technologies level, motorcycle egypt level, peru beginning, and cliff climbing to St. francis. Also extra areas in Palace Midas collusuem, Kammaroon, and Peru Caves level, and Lost Valley. There is so much they can do to add to an already amazing game, don't change just expand.

1---- Andee's Mountains. - Basic enemies would be wolves, and other various snow animals. No Human enemies. The fight with the wolves would be playable, as well as grappling up the cliff.

5. Tomb of Qualapec
6------The Break-in. - A much more lenghty infiltration of the building. this would be the one level in the game to feature some non-boss human enemies. The ride up the exterior elevator would be included too.
EUROPE
7-------St. Francis mountain. - Lara would hike up the mountain, following trails, and exploring a few caves along the way. Enemies would be Lions, Crows, and maybe even spiders in the caves.
8. St. Francis' Folly
9. Colosseum

13-------Trail to Khamoon- Mostly on motorbike, with challenging jumps, and of course, no human enemies. You'd mostly face panthers, and crocs.

17----The chase after Natla- Starts with you making the cliff dive manually. Then you have to climb back up the canyon to your motorbike. I 120% love your ideas. Especially the Andee's Mountain one. It could be a short mini tutorial.

Let me put it this way--I want all (or almost all) of the areas from the original game to be included in the AE if it is indeed a remake. Crystal's engine can support having *huge* levels as long as they are connected together, so I wouldn't mind combining all Egypt levels, for example, into one level as long as that one level is as large as the original levels added together. If they don't cut stuff out and make the areas shorter, then it doesn't matter to me whether the area is divided into smaller levels or is one larger continuous level. It would also be nice to have extra levels, as krycekuva and pizzabob18 describe :)

completely Agree Pizzabob18 and Ward Dragon, there should be levels where cutscenes where and then extra levels, and like Ward Dragon said combine the Location levels into one giant seemless level So all the Peru levels are the same as the original just more stuff and interconnected instead of individual levels. Also like Tomb of Qualepec I would like to escape each time I got the Scion so after you take out larson in Peru you somehow get down the mountain just short and sweet some cutscenes, then in Tomb of Tohocian after you figure out to go to egypt you have to some how get past Atlantian horsemen and escape from his tomb and then in Egypt once you get the Scion and Take larson, you escape thorugh some scary caves with traps kinda like the cutscene showed, like Caves the first level not alot of animals but some traps and stuff like that. And then after the Great Pyramid it should be an escape to the boat kinda like TRII's escape from within the great wall but more intense, you have animals and atalantians running and try to get you!
And PIZZABOB18 and WArd Dragon you guys should send those ideas to crystal and Eidos or atleast make it more avaliable for all in the forum to see. great Ideas. Less Cutscenes and more gameplay I say!

Look thats a great Idea to play a little before the cutscene and during from the original. I also think that she should keep the robe thing because its cold in the caves.
I also think that they should have a tutorial like level, kinda like TR Legend half and half. Boliva was tutorial for a minute and then you got into the action. So the turtorial would be Lara TAking down BIGFOOT like the news article Larson has at the beginning cutscene. So she would go to the pacific northwest of America probably an area inbetween Washington state and Yukon territory, she has to go thorugh a whole bunch foilage and then find the beasts cave or home. KInda creepy and scary.
aren big foots and the yetis the same?.. well if they do, i think they should be spoted in the himalayan,... i know there are some ppl who said that they saw them in north america, but,.. theres always lot of ppl saying that every where specially about u.f.o's, but anyway the first storys come around the hymalaya,.. mainly because of all the ancient stories surrounding the monasteries and the really hard to get there, besides theres a lot of nunexplored territories there,.. and even its closer to calcuta,.. where the story begins... thats why lara was there in india,.. because she just stamp the big guy,.. its a film makers resource...

I always thought so. "Big Foot" is the American term and "Yeti" is the Indian term (I think). Maybe they have different colored fur to fit in with forests versus snow, and that could be what the difference is... Why am I wondering about this? I don't believe in Big Foot or Yeti anyway :p

Bigfoot is North America were we have few jungles but mostly forests. Lots of trees but less underbrush.
Bigfoot's are brown/black, yeti's are white/grey, probably to blend into their environments better. Plus yetis in snow, less light, why they would have lighter complextion. Just look at african complextion vs nordic complextion. Hot, sunny climate vs cold, dark a lot more climate.

It could be the Lara’s house or just a road full of obstacles. Perhaps timed.
And better if it is an optional one.
Sometime I spent full evenings playing the Lara’s house level of Tomb Raider III.
I want another addicting training level…
