What is everyone looking forward to (besides the whole game itself) most for TR:A?
I'm mostly looking forward to
-that part of the game (I can't rememer the level) with an obelisk type thing in the middle and you have to go around releasing the little bridges to get different things
-Natla!
-The final boss
-The bacon-people (especially bacon-lara)
All of the classic levels. :)
The possibility of getting a proper tomb raider game for the first time in seven years (1999 - the last revelation). AOD was good but not really a proper tomb raider, still ranks above TR3 because TR3 was too frustrating to be fun but I cant deny TR3 was a proper TR, chronicles wasn't a proper tomb raider either and more of a taster game. Legend obviously wasn't a proper TR. So really the last time we got a proper TR was with the best of the series masterpiece that was the last revelation. It truely was the last revelation..... so far. Hopefully TRA will be a revelation.
Playing a great game with great controls :D
Playing TR1 with more moves, more gear and equipment, more weapons, more puzzles, more levels (Make the FMVs playable), more costumes.

Pushing blocks, getting artifacts and putting it here and there. Pulling down switches, swimming better than legend, the animals, Natla.
A 3D camera/control system, Backflips, levers, keys and a game engine designed for full interaction between the character and the enviroment...ie; not Legends.
I'm probably asking too much.
Lara back in her classsic outfit (teal top and brown shorts). And playing the Lost Valley! :D
The levels. Lara. Larson. Natla. Pierre. And completing the entire game with nothing but a stick.
...which probably won't be a feature, but hey. :D
long levels full of exploration parts,.. lots of action, scary moments,.. nice soundtrack,... lots of enemies, underwater ruin, lots of ruins,.. great graphics,.. nice movements and controls,.. lots of surprices,.. and lot of fun for the last 2 monthes,..
by the way,.. when is the game planing to be released?
Lost valley, definately :D hope its there!
The original opening, the lost valley, cistern, st, francis follies, colosium, the FMV's, midas hand, the long slides, spike pits and blade traps, animals, T-Rex, torso monster, bacon lara, mummies, the sphinx, egypt, atlantians, natla pierre and larson, long swims, DUAL UZIS!!!! :jmp:

I'm looking forward of the pyramid levels where there's pulsating walls and floor:eek: could it be like Silent Hill 3?:yik: :D
Unexpected booby traps that literally makes you jump out of fright :jmp: Oh, and difficult jumps of course!
shiney objects to help me so i don't get lost going down the straight line.

Well I don't know exactly because we don't have really any big details, but Personally if they do a new take on Classic tr I can't wait to play St. Francis Folly Level with all the puzzles and possibly even new or better old ones like Thor really cool lightning, and atlas the gorilla that comes out to pound on you. The only thing I have to say they need to keep with the ambience and discover tones and music like the original. I can hear lara's footsteps just brushing against the dirt right not, Crunch Crunch Crunch Crunch, and a Giant Roar, of a TRex!

This pretty much says it all.
If the remake gets moved about a bit then I'm looking forward to seeing posts from players along the lines of, for example, "Woah! The T-Rex came at me and when I went to hide in the tunnel, well...it wasn't there!!!"
I think that changing specifics and moving locations of things would be good for those that have TR1 memorised since it'd make it more exciting. :p
Everything TR1 with better graphics!
Kay
Everything TR1 with better graphics!
Kay
I second that!
Actually, I'm looking forward to the whole thing. :D

I'm looking forward to -
Seeing the Lost Valley in all it's glory!! :D
Finding out the solutions to the new physics based puzzles
The boss battle against Natla's hatchling, the Freak
Swinging from poles and vines - come on you know they'll be there ;)
Finding all those hidden secrets Crystal will no doubt hide away in the game
Looking at the lush enviroments, will TR:Anniversary top Final Fantasy XII as the best looking game on PS2?
Hearing the cheesy dialouge from TR1 all over again but with Keely Hawes voicing Lara, I hope so at least!
That's it really :o
Everything what would be.
Not having to back up a certain length to do a running jump

Puzzles!
Playing a real TR game again, here's hoping.
puzzles, Puzzles and More PUZZLES including keys and levers.
Hugh environments to explore, not tunnels, with a compass.
Twin Uzi's.
Falling to my death when making the wrong move or jump.
The element of surprise attack by enemies, including Lions etc.
The complete challenge of playing it without help. If I absolutely need help for the hard to find secrets I can refer to a walkthrough from here if I have to.
And of corse the ambience and the music.

Wow there are so many things listed here I didn't even think about. It brings back memories of how amazing the original game was.
Now to add to my list:
-the pulsating walls
-the sphinx!
-Terrifying moments of near-death
-PICKING UP the items I find (hopefully)
-the old mansion (will it be the old one?) with all the boxes and such.
I always loved the Sphinx too. The sense of scale was so wonderful, and the scene really encapsulated everything I love about TR. I've tried to give an impression of what I think it could look like below...

Hope it's there, sure it will be.:jmp: :jmp: :jmp: :jmp:

That's fantastic work. I always loved that scene, and the atlanteans are so well done. I saw your wallpaper in the fanart section and it's on my desktop now.
I'd really like to see the cistern, because I always loved the web of pathways above the water, and I remember seeing it in the Core anniversary trailer.
Thank you  I too would love to see the Cistern!:cln: However, as I voiced in another thread TR1 has so many stunning levels it's hard to choose.:D
