ok i think if cd are doing tr1 remake
they should definately do 2 new levels
one could be breaching natla's office and second could be following natla's trail on the bike what do you think;)

I think that would be really cool - I've not seen the breaching Natla's office from TR1 but I have seen the bike scene - I think they would slot in nicely and add some variation from the tombs and the main bulk of the game. :)

Plus, I loved the Legend bike stuff lol. :D

I would like 2 new level between Tomb of Quolopec and St Francis's Folly. One on the building and the other climbing the mountain.

Another level would be the mountains before Caves. Also a bike part headinf to City of Kahmoon, another following Natla to Natal's Mines

There are quite a few opportunities to add new levels.

1. Climbing up towards the caves
2. Rooftops towards Natla Technologies
3. Inside Natla Tech' looking for her office (think Red Alert style)
4. Scaling the mountain to reach St. FF.
5. Escaping The Tomb of Tihocan
6. Egyptian Motorbike level (a creative on this time please, like the jeep in Tr4, not that sorry excuse for a bikeride in legend)
7. The canyon - a water level
8. Getting her bike, razzing through the canyon.
9. Swimming to Natla's Mines

I would like the Gold Levels (Unfinished Bussiness & Temple of the Cat) merged within TR1

i would not like to change the very beggining of the game,.. it should be as close as possible to the original, and then step by step goes changing into the remake,.. of coursewith updated graphics since the begining,.. the point is making a nice remembering, and then going from the original into the remake more and more,.. something like,.. a great fmv extended of the game intro, lots of snow and crawling, something like "meet tihuanaco" showing you all her new movements, and the great movements of her hair and cape with the cold air,.. then finally trying to opn the door, and a carnage battle between the wolves and her,.. something like running from them until theres no other chance but shooting,.. and some avalanch as well... we need lots of action in between,.. she manage to get in the cave, and it closes to never been able to be opened from inside because of the snow,... (the classics cave, updated of course,.. and between the caves and the city of vilcabamba, a hugh broken bridge, like in pirates of the caribbean) so you have to make your way climbing the mountain,.. lots of snow, sharp risks, falling boulders, and avanlanchs,... lots of wind and even some condors... after all she is in the andes right?... wolves,.. and finally the second bridge,.. a long bridge like in (shadow of the colossus,... ) but in this case hanging,.. like in the caves level,.. and the city of vilcabamba,.. and from them on,.. some other level in between,.. but well... you just said it,.. i agreed almost on every other idea you give

I agree with you Rivendell. Plus I think the first level should be lara taking down BIGFOOT, because that's what she does before peru, so you figure out who lara croft is a little more and one of her first adventures! So she would have to search for clues and find big foots hideout or home, so she would drive to the mountains then trek on foot thorugh rivers, streams, lakes, and lots of forest. Then the Day would turn into night and she has search for bigfoot with only her flares or PLS, she finds his cave and enters into it. Creepy and scary!

Bigfoot level!
IS A MUST

Yes to all those extra levels! :jmp: That would be awesome! :yah: Fill in the story a little more too! :tmb: Nice list riv!!! :D I'd do the bigfoot level too, but really, that was a done adventure as TR1 lays out the new adventure, so it's not vital to the story. But what the hell, the more levels the better! :mis:

great idea, but... i think hunting big foot in the beginnig doesnt really suit to the tomb raider 1st level ambient,... the story goes from something else, and besides for going after big foot, you need, (if the intention is to make it a real interesting level) to know well hoy to control lara, and you get that only at the end of the game, when you have come from cero to hight degree of difficulty... so,...

what if instead of making big foot the first level, is the last level and the unlockable gold game,.. so,. it appears in the beginning as a reminder of laras last adventure,..and you are not able to play until you finish the whole game with all the secrets and under the very hard difficulty, and then as the last thing to unlock you find this big foot adventure of 3, maybe 4 levels,.. and in which lara must race to find this guy in the himalayan mountains,.. so, first level all the things you can do in a mountain and second level into the cave,.. deep helms deep like cave... full of ancient writtings and bridges and creepy things,. not only a bear cave, and then the big foot fight, and then like in predator,.. realicing that big foot is more than just one, and get out of the cave before is to late.. but with the artifact she was finding, coz she is not realy a zafari huntress,.. and the pictures of bigfoot,..

Sonic adventure - starts with fighting boss- Chaos Zero(water demon)

Sly and the band of thieves 3(Honour among thieves) - starts with fighting early with the final boss(huge robo-gorilla). great game none the less.

It keeps players alert from the beginning rather than the usual slow pace of starting.

we are trying to get a remake of the original,.. at least let us keep the beginning from it,.. changing it from the beginning is going to change our view of the game,... not really a remake anymore,...

krycekuva

if you put the final battle in the begining the game most base itself as a flashback game,.. so you can come back to the beginning, unless you want to transform the game into a kill bill kind of game... i dont think thats the point right now,.. tomb raider one should refer us all time to the game (the originals) and then lift us where it beginngs trasnforming iinto the next gen game,..

Shark_Blade

yeah, some are flashback, some are showing a bit of what's in store in the game.
I think kill bill style story is okay if implemented correctly. We don't have to through story in a straight line all the time.

krycekuva

i dont mind doing that in any other tomb raider game,.. after all if its as you said well implemented could be a really interesting game,.. really fun and even more intelligent,.. ala memento, or ala quentin tarantino...
but for this remake or aniversary adition i think it should be more like the original ,.. dont you think?...

prefer extended levels to new levels.. that way CD may start to think, then get ideas and therefore - change everything.... But iits for the best to be a remake with no changes

As long as the bike level is like the old days and not even HALF as linear as Legend's bike levels then that idea will be fine.

I loved Legend (obviously lol) but the bike scenes left a bit to be desired.
