Tomb Raider Anniversary game logo released in nice big format [Archive]

Eidos has released the official logo from Tomb Raider Anniversary. I've included both static on black, static on white and original Photoshop EPS, which is transparent. You can download that one. ;)

I still prefer the original logo I have to say. I never liked the style of logo Paramount knocked out for the movie, and subsequent logos have followed on from that.

Nothing tomb-like about stainless steel :(

I like the goldish color better than the steel from the movies. I still don't like the sharpness of the letters, or that it's once again "Lara Croft Tomb Raider" instead of simply "Tomb Raider." No surprises, though, because this logo was on the official anniversary site (I was kind of hoping they'd change it to reflect the original TR logo, but I guess it was too much to wish for...)

I've always not liked that style either. They should have gone with the old logo. I miss that rocky look...

With this, it looks very strange, very long and big, not very well balanced. It looks like a fat man. (I'm not fat, I just have a small head!)

Its very un-creative and plain.

The Gold version of what I call the 'movie' TR title looks a lot better than the silver (purely, I think, because it's closer to the original colour scheme, although not by much).

I agree with the other opinions here though; I wish that the movie and game branches of the franchise could have been kept more seperate. The fact that all the games now have the movie logo suggests to me that making the game identifiable and accessible to everyone is more important than keeping the original TR style (something I'm sure a lot of us have felt at least a bit in recent months).

Oh, and lastly - great work Mona, although I have always personally preferred the PAL 'sandstone' colour TR logo over the 'fire' one used in the NTSC territories :)

That was the only one I could find in the short time I had. ;) I'm sure with more time and care people can do much better logos. You're right about the stone logo, it looks even more TR-ish.

Come on people, let's show Eidos how to do a proper Tomb Raider logo instead of the "Lara Croft: Tech Raider" nonsense they always come up with! Let's drown them in creativity! ;)

I like that idea. there are so many talented artists on the forum. Some of them have already designed some fantastic TR:AE game covers. :)

Would they even listen to us? There´s been so much open dislike of the new Lara/bio/gameplay, but Eidos still declares the game as having been well received by the fans.
