FF7 - Advent Children - Is it any good?

My aunt just got home from the shops and she had bout me Final Fantasy VII Advent Children for AUD$31-99. Is it any good? Is it worth watching?

Anyhoo, yes it is very good, well worth the price if
1) your into animation, you'll love this film!
2)Like crazy over the top action
3)Huge fan of FF7

I like your first two points. Number 3, Im not that much of a fan, Ive played the games before though. I only know Yuna :p Im sooo happy it has Japanese language support ^^

Yes, it is a pretty good movie. I enjoyed it, even though I've never played Final Fantasy 7 (the game).

BTW, I don't know why this thread would have been moved either. I'm confused too.

It was made for the fans though - if you're not that familiar with Cloud, Tifa, Aeris, Sephiroth and Jenova etc then you might feel a bit 'eh?' because there really isn't any character intro or development in it.

Im currently watching it. In japanese audio of course ^^ Its very realistic looking! Im loving it so far except the fact I dont really know the story :p

It's really good and I stilll cant beliave the complains that there's not action and too much talk! :eek: I think it was pretty balanced and the story is good. Also the Japanese audio is a million times better than the english. Didnt they change some of the words in english? so it would be more.. grhm.. friendly?

Yeah that movie is a little hard to follow if you don't know the story.. And the reason they changed the words in English is so that mouth movements would fit better. If you mean by friendly less bad words this is not true. They add words in the English where they didn't have it in Japanese. Though when their was a word in Japanese and never did transfer to the English.

This movie is bad. Hardly worth the wait. Felt like watching an episode of Dragon Ball Z instead of FF.

lol, everyone here's talking about the story being a bit uncomprehendible. A BIT!? oh my god the dialogues are so insanely awful XD nothing the characters say makes any sense! :p

yet i still absolutely love the movie. so much awesomeness! so much prettyness! so much action! so much awesome music! so little yuffie and cait sith :( shame, i love them both :P
