You probably don't have the right sound card. I think you need VDM Sound.

How did you install it? Did you follow the instruction on the TR1 FAQ Page (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/faq/tr1.html)? What OS do you have (XP, 2000, 98)?

For TR 1 to work properly on XP you MUST follow the instruction on that page to the letter. Otherwise you WILL encounter problems.

Paul at Glidos has now made it even quicker and easier to install TR1,by using a preconfigured archive installation for both TR and UB..I tried it by deleting TR from my comp and uninstalling VDM,then starting from scratch..TR was running again inside 2 mins...

To avoid having to play with a spinning Glidos logo pay $10,- or simply enable DgVoodoo, which is included in the Installer. But follow the instructions on TR1 FAQ (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/faq/tr1.html)exactly! In your case: start all over and delete TOMBRAID directory.

1. start with installing VDMSound.
2. Reboot the PC!
3. Put TR1 cd in your first player (with the lowest drive letter ("D" is lower than "E") if you have more than 1 player in your PC.
4. Run the ATRInstaller, select Tomb Raider Original, yes to DgVoodoo, yes to let installer configure VDMSound, make selections for whether you have an ATI or nVidia card. Yes to shortcuts on Desktop. Finish.

Then if still problems occur, post back. Add your diagnose report: click on following link Diagnose.exe (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/diagnose.exe) , select to RUN it, then post the complete result in your next reply.
