Lara croft is an archaeologist b4 all...
Let there be some great myth they use, not discovering lost land of dinosaurs...
and not always saving the world... something deadlier... myths of ancestors... that is the best choice... :yah:

for sure... it is great in a videogame, but not in a movie...
archeology isnt just about dinosaurs... the best option is von croy, not trex.

Why not include them? And why would including them have to mean that the plot Revolves around them? LCTR: The Dino world would hardly make a good plot.

Lara stumbling into a place to find an artifact and having to evade some raptor's and a Rex to get to it would be great!

I agree. To have some small dinosaurs would be great, but not to centre the entire plot around dinosaurs.

A T-rex is a very hard thing to put in a movie, without making it look cheesy.
But if they make it right, and realistic it could be really cool. Like when Lara met the BIG Buddha in "The Tomb Of The Dancing Light", Lara starts with trying to fight it, but she soon realises that the T-rex wont die.
And she starts running, and the t-rex comes after her.
Now if they are able to create that "panic" feeling of being chased by a HUGE animal, It would be perfect.

So, a T-rex for the Tomb Raider movie please!

Jurassic park and the latest King Kong did dinosaurs pretty well, so if I don't think it would be too hard to pull off. TR is all about dinosaurs and mythical creatures so they deserve to be in the next one. FFS Lara had a robot in the first TR movie that was probably technologically 50 years ahead of current tech!

In movies where they try to undermine the fantastical side of the
story, they are showing the viewer that they believe in the story or its universe, don't care about it and are just trying to rip off the viewer.

Doom sucked for that reason, the director/screenwriter obviously didn't have the balls or the talent to make a horror movie about Demons from Hell in Space.
What we got instead was Resident Evil in Space with gentically modified humans because if you put 'genetic' into the plot it obviously makes it more believeable *pukes*.:hea:

Apparently the screenwriter did, but the studios didn't. According to his interviews during production, he had to constantly battle executives to keep the movie as close to the games as possible. I guess they thought demons wouldn't sell as well as zombies... but then again it was pretty clear from the start the Doom movie wouldn't be the next Titanic.
