I'm wondering what are your concerns about Tomb Raider and Lara Croft's future now that Crystal Dynamics has changed so much of what made Tomb Raider famous. Here is a list of concern that I have:

- That they will continue to use the auto grab in the games (Where is the suspense in the game, its called Tomb Raider for a reason.)
- Not changing her Bio back to the orginal one.
- Taking away the exploration meaning you find a key and figure out where to go, pulling a lever and finding the door.
- Not enough "Is she going to make it?"
- Not updating Lara model from Legend
- Having the objects shinning to show us what to do and having the buttons telling us what to do. Like some said, where is our skill? We need the skill of figuring out what to do, it helps us.
- Having the games short.
- Making the villians like the ones in Legend
- Having really no varity in puzzles, artifacts, guns, etc.
- Not being able to accuse the inventory
- Not bring the "bottomless backpack" back
- Having plot holes
- Having little kids themes (meaning "Where is my mother" themes)
- Too much cussing- even though I feel that its okay in games as long as its not like GTA (with in reason with Tomb Raider)
- Too many human enemies and not enough animals
- Not updating the graphics DO NOT USE THE SAME game eginee!!
- Having Zip and Alister and any other characters from Legend
- Turining Tomb Raider in a kids game, I mean my nephew and niece also like the ones made by Core Design, although I think my nephew likes Legend better, but he hasn't really played the others all the way through.

Here is what I liked about legend:

- The added gameplay
- not having to hold down a button to make Lara stay on a rope or vine while swinging
- Graphics
- movement

There's more but its late and I'm getting tired. I know my list of concerns is bigger than what I liked about Legend. But I do feel like this topic is something we should have. Sorry for my spelling.

You'll be surprised, but you are not the only one with this exact list of concerns here. While I guess that many will simply agree with you (I also agree with some of the points you made), I personally prefer if arguments focus on single aspects and you could describe why you feel about them the way you do. For example, "Making the villians like the ones in Legend" - what does that mean? Do you think that there were to many identical human enemies in Legend? Or did you not like the boss fights, or the enemy characters like Amanda? Just a thought.

Well I heard that they were going to make Natla like amanda is in TR legend so that is what I meant by "Making the villians like the ones in Legend." And I feel the way I do about this things because Tomb Raider is a mental game and what I mean by that is that you have to figure out what to do. And I feel like Crystal Dynamtics is taking away that magic as some people call it, I mean my nephew, can beat TR legend in one day, two days at the most. But that is not a surprise either. Anyway do you want me to continue to explain how I feel the way I do? I'm not trying to be rude, I'm sorry if i comes across like I am. I'm a very passonate about Tomb Raider as many of you guys are from some of the posts I've been reading. And Some of the humans enemies WERE the same ones!

Excuse me if I sounded rude, I did not mean to. I certainly agree that the lack of human enemies in Legend was boring. But if you look at the 118 page long "Official Tomb Raider 8 Suggestion Thread For Attention Of Crystal Dynamics" (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=60684), you'll find hundreds of lists just like yours there. Plus, about two new lists just like yours are posted every week here (though it has slowed down significantly). You are, of course, free to post this here, and I am frankly a bit surprised that nobody has congratulated you yet to posting this. I just think that such posts add comparatively little new to the discussions around here anymore.

It might be a good idea if we had a long list with all the issues that could be possibly had with Legend, so that then every forum member could tick off what annoyed him/her.

I'm sorry, you were not rude, you have a good point there. I was getting tired.

Quote from tombraiderfan2008, some spontaneous replies from me in red.

- That they will continue to use the auto grab in the games (Where is the suspense in the game, its called Tomb Raider for a reason.) Autograb and suspense are no contradiction, so yes please explain.
- Not changing her Bio back to the orginal one.
- Taking away the exploration meaning you find a key and figure out where to go, pulling a lever and finding the door.
- Not enough "Is she going to make it?"
- Not updating Lara model from Legend What do you mean? Legend model is the updated Lara model and a superb one. You think there is something wrong with it?
- Having the objects shinning to show us what to do and having the buttons telling us what to do. Like some said, where is our skill? We need the skill of figuring out what to do, it helps us. It is the grapple feature. Without shining objects you would find yourself grappling every single object throughout the game, hoping it would grapple. If you don't want shiney objects, then no grapple at all.
- Having the games short. Yes, Legend was a bit short, we all agree.
- Making the villians like the ones in Legend.
- Having really no varity in puzzles, artifacts, guns, etc. No variety in puzzles: play the game again, you'll see variety. Variety in artifacts?> why? Variety in guns? > They are limited for a sound reason: how many guns can Lara realistically carry? I agree with CD that 2 guns and a few greneades is enough. You can complete the game with those.
- Not being able to accuse the inventory Accuse the Inventory??? Maybe you mean: access the Inventory like in classic TR?
- Not bring the "bottomless backpack" back Well it is a bit too easy to have a "bottomless backpack" , i'm glad they skipped that.
- Having plot holes ???
- Having little kids themes (meaning "Where is my mother" themes) Why is that "little kids themes"???
- Too much cussing- even though I feel that its okay in games as long as its not like GTA (with in reason with Tomb Raider)
- Too many human enemies and not enough animals Yeah OK.
- Not updating the graphics DO NOT USE THE SAME game eginee!! What???
- Having Zip and Alister and any other characters from Legend
- Turining Tomb Raider in a kids game, I mean my nephew and niece also like the ones made by Core Design, although I think my nephew likes Legend better, but he hasn't really played the others all the way through.

Here is what I liked about legend:

- The added gameplay

"Not updating the graphics DO NOT USE THE SAME game eginee!! What???"

Sorry, let me rephase this part "Not updating the graphics DO NOT USE THE SAME game eginee!!" my niece corrected me on this one.

DO NOT USE THE SAME EXACT GAME ENGIEE! And the theme "Where is my mother?" is a kids theme because Tomb Raider is about FINDING ARTIFACTS its mostly about that, and the dangers, that is why I'm so concern about the Autograb, where is the real danger in that? And I'm talking about the supsense of "Is Lara going to make the jump or not?"
And i feel like the shinning objects tell us what to do. And the guns I mean I know they want it realistic but come on its a game for crying out lound not realy life. And yes I would like to access the inventory like the classic ones. I know that things should be updated, and were there really a varity of Puzzles in Legend, cause all I saw was wheels poles that Lara swung on and green gas and etc. And I already know that everyone agrees with the lenght of Legend. It is called Tomb Raider for a reason, where is the danger wheres the magic??? Come on people open your eyes!

I agree Joseph, except for the backpack thing. I think I'd prefer an unlimited one.

Of course no shiny objects AND no grapple.

The model thing looks like random Crystal Dynamics bashing.
