View Full Version : Difference between onboard sounds cards and normal soundcards.
Absolutely NOT a waste of money! Well spent investment. :tmb:
-with no load on the CPU for soundproduction
-hardware supported multiple streaming sound
-extensive Creative software for editing, recording, true EAX, THX.
That depends on what onboard sound it has. :D
Some of the better MB's have pretty good sound these days, I am currently using the onboard on my machine and can't tell the difference between it and my old Audigy 2 card.
It depends what you want to use it for also. For music/sound editing and gaming, a sound card can make quite a difference.
But I use just basic onboard sound linked to 4.2 surround sound for gaming and it performs well and sounds fine.
That will remain unreliable business as long as you'd keep using integrated sound. The seperate soundcard you ordered is always the superior option! :tmb:
