Requested by raiderfun.

This is a multiple choice and open poll - you can choose more than one answer and other members can see your choices.

Temples,
Underwater,
Snowy,

The above would be my choice of levels. Nice poll idea BTW.

Thanks. Mona. Interesting choices

I would have added swamps. Can you imagine a real misty, swampy environment with snakes and gators and then something really creepy starts to move under the water and then off in the mists you can just make out a large undefined shape moving fast.

It's Samuel Clemens, aka Mark Twain. One of my heros.

My top preference are cities/military bases, and then snowy places. Other than that, anything is fine as long as it stays in the open air - because funnily enough, the location I enjoyed the least in old TRs was anything underground. The "lack of space + four-legged mammals or anything speedy + corners you can't see around" combo was often just too much for my nerves.

Well... That's how it used to be, and frankly, now I'd like to see that stress factor come back. There was always something ominous about open-air locations... They always ended with a slope leading into some godsforsaken, jackal-infested dark basement. I miss that.

Alright, who voted for cities and submarines??? :pi:
:pi: Others will be voting for tombs anyway, so I don't have to worry about it.

i'd like for lara to start in a city and find a contact at a mansion. that person would tell her to go to a bar (or coffee shop or club or what have you) and meet a dude who would describe the approximate location of an arcane artifact. this would lead her to a forest, where she finds a village. the locals direct her to a hidden temple which leads to a legendary imaginary place.

so i voted:

Temples, ancient places, tombs, ruins
Cities
Jungles, forests, valleys
House, mansion
Discos, clubs, modern places in general
Imaginary and unreal places
Villages

or just look at TR2. best level progression in any of the games.

Psst. I knew you knew that, but I wasn't sure about some of our UK friends, so I thought I would err on the side of more information than less.

Caves: I miss the feeling of claustrophobia in TR.
Temples, tombs etc.: The heart of TR. :D
Underwater: Legend missed out on good underwater levels and that was a shame.
The Mansion: As long it's big and fun I'm there!
Jungles: I miss them. Ghana's 'jungle' in TR:L wasn't half of what it could have been. :(
Snowy levels: Tibet in TR2 is one of my favorite levels. I love the snow. :D

This poll should be multi choice. I'd like everything and anything once its gripping ,fun, scary and is relevant to the storyline somehow. It must look cool aswell.

Expand the Mansion (it had the best puzzles in Legend)
Underwater
Pyramid
Jungle

We've seen enough cave levels

Temples, ancient places, tombs, ruins: Obvious

Cities: I noticed the distinction between "cities" and "modern places" in this poll, my vote for cities is for "modern tombs", like Aldwych. Not for "contemporary" locations (like, say the Legend Japan level).

Imaginary and unreal places: There's a lot of potential for cool stuff in this. I'm hoping CD will do some really cool stuff with Avalon.

Caves, underground: Kind of fits with Temples etc; underground or in caves is where most of the raiding is :) .

I chose everything except Submarines, military bases - I really dislike those types of levels, as they tend to be very gloomy and dingy (The Strahov Fortress form AoD comes to mind).
But apart from that, I'd like a variety of environments: mostly tombs , ruins, and similar places of archaeological interest, interspersed with a few city levels, and maybe an imaginary place or two.
I also have another suggestion for a levels type: a castle - that is, a non-ruined medieval type one somewhere in the heart of Europe. It would be so much fun exploring the dungeons, climbing to the top of the towers, finding hidden passageways, etc. :jmp:

Some of the others (like imaginary and villages) I liked the sound of, but the context wasn't too clear so I didn't vote for them.

I ticked them ALL.

All these places are interesting to explore if they're designed well. One of the great things about TR is you could go anywhere..... :)

I wouldn't want the developers to restrict themselves that way.

One possible exception. I wouldn't be happy about doing loads of stuff in the mansion as a game level, but the occasional, well constructed event and reason to be there is OK.

well i guess u r right,.. but still i think being in a club is not so nice,.. as being in a junlge, or in a laberinth or in a imaginary unexisting place,..

I ticked them all for the same reason. And the fact that we've been to all those type of environments and I've had fun in them. Least I'm not the only lunatic that ticked them all, LoL.

Anything that deals with outside and or ruins or ancient temples is great I would really love another Temple Ruins type level or even coastal villiage that was awesome with the myst, traps, and canniables! I would also like alot more large area levels like Ghana but even long one location or area for like 3 hours would be great!

I ticked most of the options except for the 'urban' locations, which I've always felt never really fitted the TR series. TRII got it right on that front most successfully, but I'd still always prefer to be in an actual tomb or atmospheric, jungley type location :D

Desert

Jungles, forests, valleys
Snowy levels
House, mansion
Imaginary and unreal places

Villages

My favorites are Temples, ancient places, tombs, ruins, Underwater, ocean, and Beaches, coasts, islands.

I didn't vote for these:
Cities
Submarines, military bases
Discos, clubs, modern places in general

I did like Venice in TR2, the Submarine missions in TR5, and the Serpent Rouge in AOD. However, I prefer not to see "modern" stuff in TR games when I could be mucking around in some jungle somewhere instead :p
