I hate laras hair in anniversary, I like that it's a platt, but it should have two hair bands.
Wich one is better:

I dunno. I just do.
Without one at the top, it makes ughy marks on laras head, and I'm going to be *!#ing looking at it alot, whan i'm playing.
I've seen other pics that are lighter, with the mark like this one:

All I'm saying, is I don't like the look of her hair pulled to make those marks.

I like it this way. It's how she did it in the last revelation and it's a nice change of pace. the only problem I have is the part to the side because it reminds me of legend lara. but that's all irrelevant because once we have the game no one will care.

People complained that she didn't have a braid - now she's got a braid, she's not wearing enough hair bands?!
Some people are never happy! I think her hair looks great! She has her braid, and the hair folds back on itself in a stylish, tolkien-elf type way. She looks great! :D
I agree with the hair changing...If this is the way lara's gonna look at least change her hair...why can't it be a regular braid...even the ponytail was better! But whatever...I'll buy the game anyways I guess lol..*cough*EvenThoughIAbsolutelyHateTheNewModel*c ough*..But as long as the gameplay is great I suppose I don't mind...I'll try to stop being so pessimistic :rolleyes:

I think her hair is just fine the way it is, a french braid does that in the back, it makes a crease. Hell I did that when I had long hair! Looked kind of cool in a suit... :p As far as it sticking out like a stick in the shot with the bear, she's running! So it's pulled away from the body. I'm sure in the animation it will be flopping around... ;)

Maybe it should be thicker. It's looking quite thin and unhealthy, that rat tail of a braid she's got lol.

Well, they should be tan, not red.
There is nothing more "appropriate" then to have fellow members trash someone else's opinions, and comments, just for sake of "being superior". <incert sacastic expression>
I personally like either braid, but some of the purists want Lara to be as close to the classic model as possible. And that means a traditional braid. If you were a traditionalist, you'd know that, so your obviously not! :ton:
Lighten up, will ya. If you don't like the topic, move to another topic. There are plenty others.
I like it more in the Legend pic, but I don't care, stills looks good

what are you complaining about. I know lots of people who pleat their hair and none of them have a hairband at the top because it isnt necesarry.

I personally would like to see a french braid all the way down her head. Like on her scalp. But I like the one we have just fine, too. They could let her hair down and I'd be just fine with that, too.
I'm very happy with the plait she has in the screens I've seen so far. It adds to the nostalgia of the classic outfit. Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the french plaits from the TR movies but that's just me. I like both the plait from TRA and the ponytail from Legend. A high bun might be cool too. But perhaps for a later game. If they ever decide to make Lara's hair really long again, like it was in TR4-5 then maybe a hairstyle like Kitana's from MK would be nice.

Well, the bun WASN'T intended for TR1.
Actually, it was supposed to be a braid but the developers fou8nd it difficult to animate the braid so they left it out.
If you look at the early TR2 videos you can see the classic Lara model running around Venice WITH the ponytail in. And it looked really good! I'll try grab a link.;)
I imagine that an artist, who sees that old Lara picture, may interpret the puffy hair at the nap as a a loose French braid. It is reasonable, if you ask me.
What you see in TR1 is definitely not a braid per-say. Unless its woven into that hair ribbon/rope.
In reality, does anyone really want to see that TR1 hairstyle in TRA? :eek:

I like the look of 2 hairbands better. It's just more sporty, youthful, energetic IMO. It's also cuter :) It's also more, how do you say, "boyish", as opposed to feminine, which I really like.
BTW, this isn't a pointless thread. Lara's appearence is very important in people's enjoyment of the game, sales, and in so many other factors. Creating a discusion for what you like/don't like/want to change is completly reasonable ;)
I hope if they have Lara's hair down ever again that it's done better than it was in Legend. Her hair was really bad in the Tokyo level. It just looked so unrealistic. Also, a few very loose curls at the end of Lara's braid or some sort of curviness as opposed to the jagged "broken glass bottle" look would also be quite nice.

So much for quick! :rolleyes: Took forever to find my old pics. Didn't find the one I wanted, but these work. Then my scanner acted up all day. Finally got the scans done and my web page builder was being unaccessible to upload pics! :hea: NOW, I got them uploaded...These were a while ago, at my brothers wedding. This isn't the way I'd usually get it braided, these show the whole back braided. Normally I'd get it to be just 3 rows from half way down the back of my head.

You're hair is cool. I've tried french plaits. Don't suit me as well so I normally have my hair in four ways; down, half-ponytail, ponytail and loose plait.

My nostalgic side says yes. Most of the time it should just be the classic plait, but I think they should throw the bun in as a funny little easter egg or a part of an new costume.

It was out as soon as I hit the car! Was kind of tight... :whi: Let's see lara wear her hair that tight! :mis: BTW, tail was down the inside of the jacket... ;) Was looking for the shot at the renaissance fair where a wench braided it, must of gave the pic away to a friend. :rolleyes:
She ought to stop putting her hair back and let it flow free.
if theres anything I hate about the new Lara its her shirt, I hate how they've textured it like a jumper! Its ugly, just take off those strips of stitching and it'd be great.
I like the TR:A one better, every girl I know uses 1 band for braids, not 2
