I was wondering ...
would you buy any continution if they make it with no bug,the real story(not the cut one) and with legend engine?
I was going to ask someone to make a poll but decided to make this thread to see your reaction.:p

actually...i dont think i would

AOD 2 should be true to the orgional legend that started it so making it look like legend or better would kinda look weird to me if that makes sence

of course i would buy it. everyone tomb raider fan would. even the aod haters. simply because 1) it's a tomb raider and 2) it would be a continuation to a missing hole in our beloved series.

If the engine was enhanced more to include bigger jumps, old style combat, AoD Lara and a true continuation of the storyline taking place in Cappadocia, then yes.

Of course I would buy it! I loved AOD so much, I think it's one of the best Tomb Raiders! :jmp:
So please Eidos, give it a try! ;)

Well l liked the story, so as long as they continue the same story l would buy it. They do not need to have the same model or gameplay, although it would be nice to have the same voice actors l could adjust to new voices even......so long as l find out what was going to happen! And they explain what happened between Tomb Raider 4 and AOD at some point. They could even have Lara suffer a nervous breakdown at the end and completly forget the entire story, so long as we get to play it first

I would. :D It doesn't need a graphics update, it looked fine. And I sure as hell wouldn't want legend's controls, but rather an upgrade to AoD's original controls, tweaked to be more responsive and glitch free. :tmb: I liked her moves in AoD, they just needed to work better. ;) I really would like to see the other two parts of the story.

No bugs, and the Legend engine (or just an easily controllable Lara, please!)... then yes, maybe I'd buy AOD2!

We have condracting preferences, then. :D Well, on the controls and movements part. ;) But just the same, I'd like to see the continuation! :tmb:

It'd have to be really insanely great. After all, I already bought AoD, and I wasn't too enthusiastic about it. I'd certainly buy the game, I just don't know whether I'd do so at release, or two years later when it's down to 10€.

Off-topic: How about a code for this forum, that you can use like [money]10€ and it gets automatically converted to your preferred currency that you set in your profile? I have always trouble figuring out what those crazy brits mean with their £.

:tmb: Absolutely! (But the combat would need to be classic style... no sideways shimmy shuffle, please! I want to bounce when I shoot things...)

I should really stop posting this everywhere but I'd love an engine with the above suggestions and a wonderful Lara looking like this :D I'd love a more fleshed out story, more depth and more nephilim! If the idea was to take Lara to a dark place, why not have Lara be tempted to taste the dark, join Karel I mean. With enhanced controls and puzzles, yes I'd buy it!

yes defo. I would love it. Or AOD remade on ps2 or ps3 with the story finished and everything done then redone so its perfect. Like a second chance. Never gonna happen.

Yes I would buy it. Although I'd like it if they could make the game longer and more difficult than AoD was too.

Darker gameplay and storyline would help too. And PS3/X360 graphics... :)

Absolutely I would get it though.

If it would be a real Tomb Raider game, unlike AOD, I might. If they continue in the direction Core tried to turn Tomb Raider to with AOD, I don't think so.

I would, because I like AOD.
But realistically speaking, other than us lot here, a lot of people where unhappy with the game, and I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't look twice if it was called "Angel of Darkness 2" or something..

Of course!
If it was like that:
If the engine was enhanced more to include bigger jumps, old style combat, AoD Lara and a true continuation of the storyline taking place in Cappadocia, then yes.
and not a legendised product I sure would.
I'd probably buy it anyway,I'm desperate for a continuation...

I really like this version of AoD Lara.More realistic and equally dark to Core's!

I'd definitely buy it. If, based on a demo, it had the old feel, I liked the controls, and the environments were very explorable, then I'd buy it on the release day. Otherwise, I'd wait awhile to either borrow it or get it cheap. I really want to find out how the story goes, but I don't know if I'd pay full price to get gameplay and clumsy controls like in Legend (before anyone starts complaining that AOD had worse controls, I didn't pay full price for that game either ;))

belter_21
13-12-06, 21:44
Yes....if it was an AoD that carried on the story after the end of TR Last Revelation. WHY WHY WHY did AoD NOT carry on the story??? If there was *eventually* an AoD game that 'remade' the story after the ending of TR4 which was true to TR1-4 then I'd buy it. :D

There's something wrong with that image.. Is it her pants or her top?

One's too high I'm sure. Or maybe it's her backside. Or legs. What is it? It's driving me nuts!

Oh, I think I've got it -- to me it looks like one short leg is rolled up a bit higher than the other. Maybe it's just because of the way she's standing, though. Is that what's bugging you, Rivendell?

The only thing I can see is that the abdomen of Lara isn't long enough. The gap between waist and crotch is too short relative to every thing else...

If it had solid gameplay mechanics that where fun, intelligent and intuitive, I'd be the first in the Q.

I would buy it if it has alot of tombs and less city environment. No wannabe stealth/action game and it should have a decent story. I disliked AOD's story, it didn't feel like a Tomb Raider story.

So basically you don't want to plat AOD2 in any way, shape or form!

If the controls were decent this time. I don't really care if the graphics were great or not. If i can play a game that has a decent storyline, i'll enjoy it. :)

If they make an AOD2, which I very much doubt they ever will, I would love to see it made of an engine that is a mix of the original and Legend. Taking the best elements of both.

--The fluidness of Legend
--The actions of the oringals
--The fighting a fair mix
--Hard puzzles

You all get what I mean!
