Got rid of my last 2 CRTs. :yah:

I bought 2 x Samsung 971P's to replace them, weel one replaced a 19" CRT and the other replaced my old Samsung 191T that replaced a 17" CRT. :yah:

Reason to be happy? OK then|! :D I will co-operate just to comfort you, but are they really an improvement? Responsetime=?

6ms GTG response time compared to 22ms on the old 191T.

1500:1 Contrast ratio compared to 800:1 on the old 191T

Better viewing angles

NO Ghosting at all in anything, ZERO.

I can see the difference, it's much sharper than the 191T. The colors are also much richer too.

Tsss. Encouraging info! I didn't expect that. Thanks, and congratulations JANKERSON! :tmb: I would love to save space on my desk, but without losing quality in gaming!

Thanks. :D

As you know the 191T was the top end 19" LCD when it came out over 4 years ago, I got mine right when it came out. This one will blow you away. :D

It's a 19" LCD with 1280x1024 MAx res so you would have to give up that high res you are running now.

For me 1280x1024 is perfect. :D

That sounds good to me! :D :tmb: I would love to move these heavy concrete blocks away. But, they are still performing so excellently. :D *knocks on wood*

Why don't you upgrade to a new monitor, Joseph? Get rid of those CRT monitors. Personally, I would choose the Samsung Syncmasters 2ms response time. It's the price that worries me though. Overall a great performer! :tmb:

I'm too sure on the model. Hold on, I'll check up for you now. :wve:

Yes, them ones. Here's a link (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-SyncMaster-940BF-Monitor-response/dp/B000FM7DOE/sr=8-1/qid=1166224962/ref=sr_1_1/202-4984611-7831034?ie=UTF8&s=electronics) to the website that I bought mine from.

They're awesome value. Love mine. You should definitely purchase one of these. Awesome job. :tmb:

I see that one monitor every day in a shop when i'm passing by. Each time i speak silently to it: *if i'd have to buy one today, i'd take you and you only.* :)

But as long as i am poor (and i am), nothing will be bought here. :(

Well, Christmas is coming and maybe you should save and sell those CRTs! :p
