Official TRF Christmas Party - Tonight 9pm GMT

Heya everyone!

I will be organizing a little Christmas Party later on this evening. I know its been short notice, but I have been busy setting everything up.

I will be setting up an online radio station with lots of Christmas music to get yourselves in the spirit (plus some good old Tomb Raider music), an UT2004 match will also be operating for everyone to have a great time and also I was thinking about having an IRC channel just for the occasion!

There will also be some competitions going on also with some special prizes for the winners :D

It will be on tonight at 9pm GMT. I hope people come and have some fun.

Special thanks to Justin and Gecko - This wouldn't be as special without them.

Its a chat room thing.. But I'm not sure about it yet. The mods aren't overally keen on the idea.

And I am currently testing the online radio and all is working. So it should be good!

I have decided that the radio will be on for roughly an hour. Then after which I will be playing UT2004.

The UT2004 server will still be on at 9pm but I won't be connecting until about 10pm. I cannot really play UT2004 while streaming the radio at the same time.. It would rape my connection. :p

Geck, I just tried the Tournament thingy, I don't like it much, it's too fast for me. Plus I couldn't even find the ****ing action button! :hea:

Action button? It's simpler than that. Basically it's left (a), right (d), back (s), forwards (w), jump (space), fire (left click), and alt fire (right click).

But yeah it is pretty fast. That's why I like it. :whi:

Yup, it will be a demo server. This then allows anybody to download it and join in the fun :D

Its just basically an online FPS. Doesn't really have a storyline or anything, the single player mode is where you just play in a tournament and gain higher ranks. It's a great game though! :D

The UT2004 is just an extra thing for everyone to enjoy. The party is everywhere I suppose.. lol

9pm, the same time the radio and IRC will be on. But the radio will be ending at 10pm so I suggest you listen to that first.

The UT2004 match and IRC will be operating for the rest of the night, until late.


EDIT: The IRC channel is up and running. When you join later, don't be surprised if you see someone called [pC]Santa... Thats my nick for the festive season :D

Copy the IP address from the thread, and remember what the password is.
Start up UT, and click on "Join Game" on the main menu screen.
Next, click on "Internet", the very last tab of the row of tabs along the top of the screen.
Right click anywhere on the list of servers there and select "Open IP" from the right-click menu.
Enter the IP address you copied into the box you now see.
Enter the password.
