Hey people

I'm having trouble getting sound on Tomb Raider 1... I've tried for a long time and finally got the game to work (minus the cimematics) Could anyone help me out here? I've downloaded that VDMsound thingy... also Do I need to copy the cinematics from the disk to my HD??

Thanks

Did you install VDMSound first and reboot before doing anything else?
Are you using a SoldOut version of the game, because some copies are missing the audio tracks..

I'll reboot my system now and see if that works. I'm using the Premier Collection in the big box... With Unfinished business.

Thanks for the help

It possible that the audio tracks are corrupt. This has occured on "Sold Out" and Eidos versions of the CD.

Have a look at this FAQ (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/faq/traudio.html) to see if this is the case.

Moving thread to Tech Support.

Well I have restarted and still no sound. I also check in the options to ensure musc and sfx were turned up to 10.

I can see/hear the tracks from the game perfectly... Must I rip them, then burn to another disk then use that one in its place? How about the FMVs? How can I get these to play?

Thanks again

ThanksBEFORE installing the game, you must install VDMSound 2.10 and reboot the PC.
Then install TR1 from the Advanced Installer, following instructions on our FAQ (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/faq/traudio.html). :)

also Do I need to copy the cinematics from the disk to my HD??

Absolutely NOT!

Yes uninstall by deleting TOMBRAID, then reinstall following the FAQ, after you installed VDMSound.

Yes it is worth the trouble! :)
