As you may or may not know... I have a neck piercing. In exactly the same place as the brain jack sockets in the Matrix movie. :cln:

So, soon as I realised that, I decided I want to make a Matrix implant to clip onto the balls on the end of the barbell. :tea:

I'm thinking I could do it by making a mould using clay, then by filling the mould up using papier mache. Then I'd remove the mould and spraypaint, varnish and polish up the final thing, and maybe use fuse clips from an old power plug to clip it on to my barbell.

Anyone got any other ideas for how I could do it? Also can anyone find me a close-up picture of the back of someone's neck in the Matrix? I've checked google but most of my searches don't even bring up anything Matrix related, much less the neck jack. :hea: :p

Yes, those. :D Thanks.

Shouldn't be too difficult should it?

Maybe I can find someone good at metalworking who'd make me one... Now that'd impress folk.

I'm pretty sure some geeky shop somewhere would supply them, but it's just finding the right place :p Like there is a shop in Wales that supplies everything and anything to do with LOTR (but at a hasty price :() :D

Umm.. I wonder if that socket supports a light-bulb? :cln:

Actually it's a cool idea if all done visually nice, except.. would you glue it or pierce it to your back-neck? :pi:

:wve:

Grace, have you ever come across Green Stuff? It's an epoxy modelling putty made by a company called Games Workshop (fantasy tabletop gaming etc). I use it a lot and it's terrific for this type of thing.

It's very flexible, you can model REALLY fine detail without it flaking, and it can be sanded, painted, varnished etc when hardened. I made a Lara gold belt buckle to sit on top of an ordinary one (when I completely failed to find one for sale :(), plus a lot of mini-sculpture. Send me the specs and I'll do you one (your birthday's not that far off eh? :pi:)
