that when you put lara in her classic outfit in legend it kind of gives you a hint of what anniversarys gameplay will be like.
wow...
Please Eidos release something new soon!
Playing legend gives me an idea of what TR:A gameplay will be like ;)
Just hopefully less linear with some better moves.

Not really since they've changed her leotard and her hair(for the better, of course) so I'd have to answer no also because legend doesnt look half as good as tra and ive only seen one level.

She never had a leotard in the original Tomb Raider1, plus they didn't have the graphical opportunity to make her as Crystal D made it.

I've been playing TR1 to refresh my memory as to what this game is all about and what to expect, and I noticed there is some skin coloration on Lara's sides above her shorts. It looks to me like she did have a leotard in the original game. It's very noticable to me in the Caves level. I would gladly provide a screenshot, but I'm playing on PS.
Actually it was the leotard in TR1 DR, her leotard was planned in early TR production! And you can even see it rises above her waist

btw I wasnt talking about tr1 i was saying that they changed the leotard and her hair from the classic lara in legend.
She had a braid in the 360 version.

ya but it still had that clip in it. I like the tra braid, it's thick and long i just love it.

No, I believe that Lara will be a bad ass in Anniversary! Not the nice little school girl she was in Legend! :D:D:D

I am confused about this topic. Alot being said. But I think Lara will be a lot like Legend Lara, but prob more killer-badass. I like the new Lara look but that's because the graphics are amazing. Every Lara along the way was a thing of beauty.
And the unitard...what the hell are we calling it, lol....is great! But I want more ducati outfits, but that's cause she looks really hot in it and it's my fav bike...m900.

I think that playing Legend in the classic outfit gives you a feel of what the games gonna feel like to play, but not what's gonna actually happen.

It'll be different. I just know it! It has to be!!!
actually its not a leotard its a swimsuit even core said it was in an interview.

only cores AE version because if you wear it she still has the same crappy backpack, hair and holsters so its exactly the same as core, apart from core would have used legends boots for some reason. :hea:
Well when I play TR1 it gives me a hint how TR2,3,4,5 will be like right?:whi:
You'll HANG for that statement, neo-freak!

Actually Toby’s quoted as saying it’s a Leotard.
” She went through a period of wearing slightly more military-looking clothes, but she looked too Nazi-like. For a while she looked like Neneh Cherry with baggy trousers and crop tops, but before long she found her hot pants and leotard and away we went". “
Its neither, its a bodysuit with fastners underneath so you do not have to completely remove it when nature calls. Honestly what do men know of womens fashions, yes Toby would describe it as a leotard for lack of a better word, but l am sure he does not expect Lara to completly strip every time she wants to go to the toilet

I wish Toby didn't always have the last word when it came to Tomb Raider. Seems that whenever there's a question or a problem or a dispute, he always barges his head in and gives us an answer that not all of us necessarily like, but it has to be factual anyway because he's the lead designer, the original Tomb Raider designer, and therefore the "Tomb Raider god." For him to hide from the project for a good 5 games and then come back to tell us what to do and what's right shows a great amount of ignorance on his part. I hope he plays the other games and sees them for the treasure that they are.
Does Toby Gard tell you 'what to do'?
He is the designer FGS! The spiritual father of the game character Lara Croft. Accept it, Paranoia.
but she looked too Nazi-like. Jeez, that's a weird association! :cln:

In a way, yes. Before, we used to control Lara. Now, Toby Gard controls Lara and Lara controls us. ;) I'll accept it, but grudgingly. Somebody has to criticize the old dude.

I see why you chose the nickname "Paranoia"... :whi:

if she had had a leotard in TR1(which she did) it wouldnt make a difference graphically wise would it. I mean wouldn't it just be the textures on the block which makes of her chest?
Well when I play TR1 it gives me a hint how TR2,3,4,5 will be like right?:whi:

I only consider Toby’s remarks on Lara pre TR to be relevant. Anything he’s said in all the time since has been based on his ideal of Lara, and not the real character that’s developed in all 6 games.
He’s blatantly disregarding the games he didn’t make; he doesn’t know a thing about the real Lara Croft.

Hot pants? But Lara wears shorts in TR1. She doesn't have hot pants until TR3, and Toby Gard left by then  Anyhow, I never really thought about what Lara's top is, but I think a bathing suit makes more sense than a leotard.
He’s blatantly disregarding the games he didn’t make; he doesn’t know a thing about the real Lara Croft.Again: Toby Gard is the designer. The spiritual father of the game character Lara Croft. He wasn't in the developing teams after TR1, so what. His job was done, and the team used/changed his model. That does not make what they did to the model the 'real Lara Croft'. Strictly speaking, TR1 Lara is the original, Legend Lara is the modern version of it by the same designer. :)
