My Dell XPS 400 is running XP, Media Center Edition. I'm attempting to run the Tomb Raider Advanced Installer. The CD is in my ONLY CD drive, E. However, the Installer keeps requesting that I put it in D, which is a DVD drive.

What can I do? I suppose I can figure out how to switch the drive letters, but isn't that likely to confuse Windows and a lot of other programs?

Put the CD into drive D: (which you say is your DVD drive).

CD's can be read by DVD drives, so there won't be a problem.

Come back if you need further help....

Nigel, it seems like your advice should have worked, because with the TR1 CD in drive D, I can open folders and look at files. However, I get exactly the same results as before: the installer tells me to put the CD in drive D.

No, your advice was just fine, after I used the correct disk! I have a demo disk that didn't work at all. Thanks for your help.

Is it asking you to locate specific a file?

Have you clicked 'ok' once you have placed the CD in drive D:?

Carroll :wve:

Is your problem solved or you still have problems installing TR1?

Bokkie, my previous post said the install worked because I put the correct disk in D, but now I have different problems, I'll start a new thread if I have to.
