I haven't added my email address in Microsoft Outlook so the replies that I receive will be given to my email address and it doesn't ask me, is it possible?
You mean your Outlook is not set up for sending and receiving emails?

Well, yeah I guess it's not set up.

The problem is the options aren't the same because this is an updated version you show me. Seeing mine is the old version I think I might have to upgrade it?
Outlook is not free. Go to Help and then "About Outlook", if I remember correctly, to see which version you have.

Thank you but in Step 6 I included the same e-mail address in the incoming mail address and outgoing mail address but theres an error, what am I supposed to type in there? I don't have another email address.
You mean in Incoming and Outgoing mail server fields? If that's the case you don't input your email address... you need to input mail server. For example:
pop.mailserver.com
smpt.mailserver.com
and NOT your email address which is (always for example) dreamraider@something.com.

But then they won't be sent to me, I just tried it and everything failed except the first (Establishment Network Connection)
Is that a webbased account (like yahoo)? Or from your ISP? If that's your ISP then they should give you a paper with all the necessary info. If not you can always go to their website and get it or call them for it.
And by the way, the Incoming and Outgoing servers are the ones that handle the emails. That combined with your email address, logon name and password should give you access to your mailbox to download your emails to your computer. Before you start setting up your email program to receive and send emails you must have the following info:
your email address,
password,
logon name (in many cases it's the same with your email address),
incoming mail server,
outgoing mail server.
There could be other info depending on the ISP. All this info is provided to you by your ISP when you sign up for Internet service. If you don't have it or not all of it the only way to get it is to contact them directly.

I use hotmail, what do I do in that case?
Why didn't you say so. Webbased account is a quite different case.
Try THIS (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287424) and tell us how it went.

Thank you but it keeps on telling me to type my password and username and it doesn't stop...
You can do two things:
1. Make sure that your password and logon name is correct.
2. Delete that account and start from the top.

I tried opening it with word document but it doesn't work.
OK... I just got your messages.
Let's start with your graphics card problem as it's more serious.
""VPU Recover has reset your graphics accelerator or it was no longer responding to graphics driver commands" - this error message is just the diagnosis of a long list of possible problems, showing that your vga card had problems and it has been restarted. Unfortunately, there is no ultimate solution, the final tip that works for you depends on your own particular problem, therefore on the card, on your drivers, on your motherboard, etc. It can also happen, that there are several issues with your card, like it suffers both from insufficient heating and old motherboard BIOS." Thank you very much Lord Icon, I'm starting to thing that the PC was a rip off, old and expensive:(
As for setting your Outlook for Hotmail.
Try those articles: Article 1 (http://www.real-knowledge.com/outhotxp.htm), Article 2 (http://email.about.com/cs/outlooktips/qt/et080202.htm).
Make sure you read both of them carefully and do exactly as they describe.
You can try again if you want.

you should be a full mod Lord Icon
dream raider - What I would try is this:
1. I would make sure that my graphics card is connected properly.
2. Get's sufficient power.
3. Get's sufficient air flow.
Then I would probably backed all my files up (music, pictures, documents). I would make sure that I have Windows installation CD and all the drivers. Then I would reformat the hard drive and start all over.
If that wouldn't help then I would consider taking my PC to a repair shop.
I'm starting to thing that the PC was a rip off, old and expensive:(
Can you run Diagnose (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/diagnose.exe) and paste everything in your next post so we can have a look at your system before you do anything else. Just in case we missed something.

Thinking about it, the games used to play fine when I didn't have Catalyst Control Center... But now that I have it, the games don't work. Thanks for the articles Lord Icon!

How can I fix it?
Your ATI drivers are far outdated.
Download Catalyst 7.1 from this page (http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/radeonx-xp.html), to a folder you create on your desktop. Do NOT install it yet!
Uninstall your previous ATI drivers.
Removing Old ATI Software
Click on Start, then Control Panel, then go to Add/Remove Programs.
At the top of the list you should see several ATI entries. Select the entry entitled ATI Software Uninstall Utility, and click Change/Remove.
You will be prompted to restart your system once the uninstall is complete.
Once restarted, check the Add/Remove Programs list again for any remaining ATI software.
If any ATI software is still listed, click Change/Remove on those entries to uninstall each one individually.
Next, please scroll through the list until you find an entry called DAO (see screenshot below).
Select DAO, then Click Change/Remove to uninstall this program.https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ati.com/parature/support/images/addremove.jpg
NOTE: If you encounter any error messages while uninstalling, such as “Error 1905 – DLL failed to unregister”, please follow the directions listed in the Manual Removal Instructions section below. Otherwise, please scroll down to the bottom of the page, and choose your product.
Manual Removal
Once all of the remaining ATI entries have been removed from the Add/Remove Programs list and the computer has been rebooted, the remaining registry entries, program, and temporary files will need to be removed.
Section 1
Click on Start, then Run. Type in regedit, and click OK. This will launch the Registry Editor.
Create a back up of the registry by clicking on File, then Export. Choose a name for the file, and save it on your desktop. You have backed up your registry.https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ati.com/parature/support/images/reg_export.jpg
Click on the (+) next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Click on the (+) next to Software.
Click on each folder that references ATI Technologies or ATI, and press delete on the keyboard. When prompted for confirmation, click Yes.https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ati.com/parature/support/images/regedit.jpg
Click on the (-) next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to collapse the list.
Click on the (+) next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
Click on the (+) next to Software.
Click on each folder that references ATI Technologies or ATI, and press delete on the keyboard. When prompted for confirmation, click Yes.
Close the Registry Editor.Section 2
Click Start, then My Computer.
Double click on the C: drive or the drive in which your operating system is installed.
Double click on the Program Files folder.
Delete any folders that reference ATI (e.g. ATI Multimedia, ATI Technologies). See the screenshot below for reference.https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ati.com/parature/support/images/programfiles.jpg
Click on the back button until you are back at My Computer.
Double click on the C: drive or the drive in which your operating system is installed.
Double click on the Windows folder. Some systems may have a folder entitled WINNT instead.
Double click on the Temp folder.
Click on the Edit menu, then click Select All.
Click on the File menu and select Delete. When prompted for confirmation select Yes.
If any files remain in the Temp folder, repeat steps 9 to 10 until all files are gone. Now that you have removed the existing ATI software, you are ready to install the new drivers and software.
3. Install the new downloaded Catalyst 7.1

I successfully downloaded Catalyst 7.1, thank you very much. I saw performance improvement in Legend but unfortunately that message persists and pops up again and I have no idea what else to do...http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/7939/error7ma.th.jpg (http://img260.imageshack.us/my.php?image=error7ma.jpg)
A few possible random causes:
- your Power Supply Unit (PSU) is not supplying enough power.
- your card is damaged (by too high overclock) or not seated firmly in its slot.
- your AGP setting is too high (4x?)
- your onboard graphics chip has not been disabled
but there can be many more causes, maybe (hopefully) only software related.
Start with defragmenting your hdd. Preferrably, use Diskeeper Lite (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=1207) (freeware) for it. :)

How can I check if my AGP settings is too high and how can I disable my onboard graphics? Thank you very much you've been a big help:)
Oh... go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager. See under display adapters... what devices are mentioned?
For your AGP x setting: doubleclick the ATI tray icon on your taskbar (next to the Windows clock) to open Catalyst Control Center. Under the "Graphics Settings" rootstructure on the left, select --> SMARTGART.
See the bar: "Set AGP Speed". What value have you there?
Anyway, click the button on the bottom right which says: "Retest All".

Yes! It's working! I put the AGP speed to 4x and it's working, thank you very much! You're an expert:)
Very well! 8x is completely wrong and not supported by your motherboard (i can blindly tell)! :D Well done! :tmb:
