I am soo upset with that Cistern Level. It rocks. I know, in real life it isn't cool, but in the Tomb Raider game, IT ROCKS! You know the room with udge pool? I love diving from there. It is just a cool place.

The thing is that I dreamed of a Cistern too. There was guys chacing another boy that kick a window and made a swan dive in a Cistern.
It was weird. Seriously, I dreamed this week about that.

I loved the level design of the Cistern, the way it was basically one huge puzzle... it must have taken a lot of thought to get that to work as well as it did. I can't wait to see the AE version of it too :jmp:

I saw the cistern, too. When I played the cistern the first time, I remembered that I saw it in the trailer.

great atmospheric area.

love the way you drop down into it, its completely different from the previous level, and the yucky/murky noises in the background.

...and the way you can hear a sort of human coughing in the background as well, its all very grimey.

yeeuuuck.

PS. one thing i don't like is the way the game drops to about 10 frames-per-second if i'm high up in the main room. damn my old processor.

I dunno why but when I first played it I hated it. I couldn't wait to get out. It was dingy and depressing. I was well miffed when I got to the Tomb of Tihocan and it was more of the same.

I do like the level design though. It's a level that's fun to play through even on the 12th replay.

I love this level, I love it how the theme tune music comes on when you go through the doorway thing. And diving off the bridges are cool too :D

It's going to look stunning in current gen - Look at the walls around the outside of the room (http://i18.tinypic.com/349cdhf.jpg) (ok, not the best pic for it) - it's covered in columns. Core's AE had these columns in full 3d glory with alcoves all around the room - I hope Crystal's does too!
