Really good remake of the original.

The straight-to-the-point introduction was a refreshing change, I have to say. I was expecting at least forty minutes of suspense. :D

It's curious to say the least how the group didn't seem to notice the lumbering zombie approaching them from the flank until it was right on top of them. >_<

That movie is quite weird: No beginning, nor ending and the story's value is around 2/5... But I like the deaths in it :D

Seen it not to long ago on TV here in the U.S. The movie is a really nice zombie flick... Except i found the part where they drove the armored vehicles through the sea of zombies rather corny... Other then that the film is perfect =3
Dawn of the Dead is one of my all time favorite zombie movies. I'm a sucker for the living dead and gorey survival.

Yep, watched it last night.
The Resident Evil series helped me enjoy the original - this remake had me turning away from the screen too.
The ending got to me - in the original and all RE games the heroes escape. Didn't happen here...

I watched this movie like half a dozen times last year. I borrowed the DVD from my friend when I was trying to watch all the zombie movies I could. XD
Was a fun movie; my favourite character was the gunshop owner. :cln:

Nope, I'm not a fan of horrors as I don't get why they're scary, i didn't find blair witch, sixth sense, the ring etc scary in the slightest.
This was just funny, the whole chainsaw caboodle was great!
Is there a sequel to it?

Day of the dead is the sequal to Dawn of the dead, although they haven't remade it yet. All modern Romero films are awful, only zombie b movies work well. I recommend Zombie Flesh eaters (1979) and The living dead at manchester morgue. Both were banned in several countries until recently they got their uncuts passed to dvd.
I also recommend this film, nothing better then watching zombie hillbillys eating people and drinking beer.

Ahh the D o t D remake - the first Zombie film I couldn't wait to end. Started well, and drowned in the blood of its own cliche's.
I love Zombie films, but that one really made me question why..

Yes it was horrible, and hardly stuck to the original plot in places, the zombie baby???
One hell of a remake! I quite like the running zombies :D

I saw this film ages ago, it's not as sick as it seems, more nudity then what the title suggests. Feel free to make any other recommendations as i am forever increasing my dvd collection.

the genre is extinct nowdays unfortuantly there were only a handful of films made in the late 70's and 80's. Shame.

That is not a remake, that is an entirely different film, and even by a different director then romero. This happened a few years back when another film was entitled 'day of the dead II' people thought it was a sequal or a remake, it was nothing but an awfully produced crummy gore attempt.
Watched it last night, pretty good remake but I still prefer the original. :)

I couldnt agree more! I had hoped for something as faithful as NotLD1990 but oh well :(
