Hi!,have you ever wonderd why are there dinosaurs in the tomb level where you get the first peace of the scion?.It's a pretty strange place to have dinosaurs,they would probabley struggle so survive in an area with no food or water.

Artistic license knows no bounds. It's best not to over-analyze any computer game, just enjoy it.

Umm... I guess they didn't totally extinct. :whi: LOL, just kidding... I have no idea - it's only a game as you said.
they were used by tihocan as animal force,.. and got loose once he died,.. thousands of years ago,.. they were already the very last ones as they were supposed to be extints,.. but as tihocan were the most powerfull of the three ancient gods, he was licenced to have them.. as he loved natural creations over gods creations (natlas creations considering her as a goddess)

i think that tomb level is the snazziest level in the game,look at the decal!
They survived on wolf cubs and cannibalism :D Those two you kill at the start are brother and sister - the one that appears later on was their slow younger brother, the result of their inbreeding ;)

It made even less sense to me why there are wolves and bears in Peru. As for the animals in Rome, I guess you could say the Romans themselves imported them for use in the colloseum.
But my personal take on the dinosaurs is that the "T.rex" is a Giganotosaurus or Mapusaurus (which has a deeper and narrower skull, so I'd put my money on this one), given it's three fingers, and the "raptors" are perhaps the maniraptorans Unenlagia, Buitreraptor, or even Neuquenraptor, all of which were found in South America.
yep you are right,.. but back at the time where tr was made they didnt really took some time to fix those small details people like you (and myself) are willing to check anytime,.. like the non related gods names in st francis folly,... one greek god, one roman, and on greek guy who appears in legend along with thor,.. nordic god,.. theres no relation at all,.. you cant even say that they were reffering as the origining of the westerns believes as the only mention them and not anyone else,..
and once again to the dinos,.. a raptor eating a t rex, is not canivalism,.. its just food chain,... they are not same species,.. raptors can attack t rex and all the way around,..
and.. what we saw in tr is meant to be the only piece of th whole lost valley,.. we were supposed to check that part, as there were lot more to see, but they didnt let us,.. as in midas palaca you can see trhou the fences a way going around,.. you are just not supposed to go there,..
Because it's a game, that's what I always tell myself if something doesn't make sense ;)
It's just one of the things that don't make sense in TR games. Like the fact that there are ammos and medipacks scattered all over places man has never explored :whi:

I reckon that there could be a secret passage leading from the tomb to the lost valley,but its hidden and you cant find it
