I just ordered a brand new copy of Tomb Raider Gold from Ebay!!! :D Are the extra levels fun? Could people post some screens of what's to come?! :jmp:
I'm sure you have seen the Tombraiderchronicles (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/tr1/gold/screenshots.html) sceenshots by now?
The game is in two parts, of 2 levels each. In the first two levels, "Shadow of the Cat" Lara returns to the city of Khamoon in search of the tomb of an Egyptian cat-goddess (Bastet)
In "Unfinished Business" having learned about a hive of creatures guarding an alien hatchery, Lara returns to Atlantis to destroy the mutants.
There is no bonus for finding all secrets.
Does the one you have ordered come with the original disc included?
You could have just downloaded the extra levels. (Is good to have the discs though)

If you posess the TR1 CD and play it with DgVoodoo, you can install Unfinished Business which is included in the Advanced Installer. Read the details:

The Advanced Installer does only work with the included or downloaded version of UB, not the CD2 of the Gold package.
But of course it is nice to have it; i have it too. Premier collection TR1 Gold.

with tomb raider gold there are 4 new levels,they are pretty long and difficult to get by.
Cool, tricky, sometimes 'Hmm, what do I do, how do I get there?' lots of fighting, lots of Atlanteans, great level design, lots of ammo and two Ace Egyptian Atlantis-levels on top of two Egypt levels :tmb:

it would be better if there were 2 more levels where laura went back to peru,for example one level were you have to climb a mountain to reach a long lost incan city

I recall AmericanAssassin saying in a previous thread that he only had the PlayStation version :) So he's definitely made a good move! :D

I just got it in the mail. The outside box was in horrible condition even though it was (supposedly) brand new. The discs were falling out of the case. I'll never trust Ebay ever again!!!

No, they're okay. My next step is figuring out how to get them to work on XP.

try useing the advanced tomb raider installer
FYI, you don't even need TR1 Gold CD if you want to play TR1 Gold levels. If you already have TR1 CD, then simply use TR1 Advanced Installer (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/headlines3125.html) to install and play TR1 Gold levels.

I was a Tomb Raider player for PS back in the day. I'm just now getting the entire series for the PC also. I wanted Gold because I'm a collector and I like special editions. :D
may i just recommend glidos before you start?

I'd like to try DgVoodoo :) I use Glidos and it's pretty much perfect so I've never gotten around to trying anything else. The price is really not much to ask for anyway :D

*shakes* I'm a traditionalist :( I'd be able to try the texture packs, but wouldn't ever use them when playing a normal game. I dont know why! :X I'm just weird like that.
