View Full Version : Blood Splashes
I think the exact same animations of blood splashes should be used in anniversary, like when you were shooting somebody. It would make the game more original, and I think they should also implement it on the part where you shoot the scion at the end. I always found that funny on TR1.

Blood is in the game. The same animation would look odd though:)
How dya now its in the game. :D
Well I mean they should put it there just to give the utter fans of the game series a little chuckle as they remember it.

I always thought of it as more of a spirt rather than a splash...lol! Anyway, of course, I'd love to see the classic violence animations in Anniversary! :D
We know there's 'some blood' in the game, and I don't see why they can't put the same amount in TR:A to be honest. They were only tiny little splurts - surely that wouldn't make a Teen game an Adult game?

unlikely, there was blood in AOD and it wasn't an adult game.
Edited post, damnit, foiled again!
There is! :D
What he meant was that there was blood in AOD, but it wasn't made an adult game ;)
I don't really care if there's blood or not.
Oh, sorry - I read too fast. Never mind! :o

Did you used cheat to make Lara hold two pistols?
Yep SB, The AoD SCU (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/tng/aod_scu.html) :)
i think that a cool blood efect would be when lara shoots, the blood sprincles out going in differnt directions, a better way of describing it is, 'rain like blood which comes out of enemies'

There will be blood in it, but it should be more realistic than TR1 ;)

Took it myself ages ago for one of those OSC competitions. :)

cool. Wow bullet to the face:o. Must have been painful
Lol well at least they should have the blood when you shoot the scion, that was funny.

I agree. The bright red pixels from the original TR games was a joke.
 A joke?
10 years ago it was fine - it fitted in fine with the graphics. Of course slapping the same effect on a game today would look like a joke.

The exact animations? In a DirectX9.0c game?
Also, TR:AE is not a remake. It is a new game, based on the original storyline. It would be sad if CD would be making a 'copy' to satisfy nostalgia.

I think Joseph has a sensible way of looking at it. We should take TR:A as a brand new experience, with nostalgia being the main road, but not the vehicle. :)

There was A LOT of blood in TR3. Althought it was pink in the PC version, the playstation version had tons of crime color all over the place!

The pixels, sure, that was fine. But the bright red color was a joke.

^:confused:So you prefer dark red colors? Blood are like that you know.
Blood isn't bright red. When it sprays out and light hits it a certain way, it can look bright red, but not all the time like in TR. They might as well have neon green blood coming out if they do that again.

It was only pink in the censored version. I believe the Spanish and German versions were censored that way.
It is RED on my PC versions. *Oh yeah, actually i have also a German version with pink blood.

I'd been doing a lot of playing around and am not so sure there -is- a censored version (Though please correct me if I'm wrong).
What Lara Croft Baby and I discovered is the PC version has both red AND pink blood. Reason being is the gamma settings, which only the PC version has. If it's set to default '3', then blood is red. If it's set to a high number like 7+, the blood is pink.
You'll notice that's because it's particles and so is affected by gamma changes more radically, whereas the blood clouds in water stay red on any gamma setting, because they're textures.
Take a look here (Just ignored the posters at the bottom who didn't even read the thread).

I don't know why Western area ppl need
so much to see BLOOD effect in this TR?
Yeah~ Maybe also there are some ppl
would like to see in another part of the world.
But I've already told it before in other topics.
This TR is originally not SHOOTING game... And maybe
too cruel scean to prohibit by EU game association.
So I asked a question before. Why not dead-body?
Hey~ You want to see this blood spread why?
That's so funny? No~ No~ No~ No~ No~ :ohn:
Fun for what? The concept of FUN is not that.
Rather dead-body left that right position is useful.
(without blood or a very little red color on the clothing
or ground) In fact, I don't want to see this blood effect
rather I'd like to see dead-body on the ground after shooting.
What is more fun? Seeing dead-body? or Seeing Blood? (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showpost.php?p=1550821&postcount=28)
hehe~ :cln:
What he meant was that there was blood in AOD, but it wasn't made an adult game ;)
Yeah~ You played AOD. But Blood was shown in only the MOVIE!!!
Blood shown Not in whole game!!! You can't see blood anyway
if dead-body going from monitor!!! Understand? So...
Conclusion is approching... EIDOS can insert this blood effect
only the movie such like AOD at that time. And you can buy bundle(?)
for this blood spread effect for whole TR game. What do you think
about that? Everybody can select every effect now!!!
Bundle #01 [10US$]: You want to see Blood effect? So..
Bundle #02 [19US$]: You want to see more nude on Lara? So...
Bundle #03 [15US$]: You want to see more object to destruck-shoot? So... etc.
How about that? Too expesive?
Eh~ Eh~ Eh~ Hey~ buddy!!!
There is no fun, there is no money~
(These ideas to post here is not also
totally free. They should pay to me.)
But I'm not sure this tech. is to be or not...
:jmp:
This topic should be moving to forum
"Future Tomb Raider Games (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=67330)"
I don't want too much blood, but if it drips in the water, then give it to me! :yah:
Yeah~ That's under the EU association policy I guess...
I don't know why they eagerly to see the blood...
That's More realistic? More realistic is left
dead-body on the ground!!! You know? Occationally,
There is no blood even though sniper-gun
(too fast and too instantly) through the body.
But don't too much..it'd be a mature genre game..as in TR 3..u saw the blood splashed all over, and i don't like itjust act as usual ;)
Eh? Blood splashed all over TR_03?!?!
Rather there were dead-body so
I liked to stay in there~ :cln:

Well, if you have read some previous magazine scans they said that there is a little bit of blood.
a developr explained that it is a teen rated game, so they cant put too much blood in it...
my god...
that's so odd and weird...
teens start at the end of 12 year old people...
they cant see blood!!!
that's so odd...
i mean, it is so much better to prevent some1 from seeing pornography than seeing some blood...:hea: :hea: :hea:

Blood is always a good idea to me, but others have weak stomachs.
